You'll notice in the above screenshot that this menu has been altered from the beta test version. By the time I figured out how to get the two different types of Ehlynn's dialogue coded in I realized that less is more. This erotic scene is between Oxar and MC, not Ehrlynn. Telepathy will play a more prominent role later on in the story, but I need to impose limits to ensure I don't turn this VN into "Fantasy Dating: Ehrlynn". Each character has to stand on their own.

Checklist for Part 1 of Oxar's erotic scene:

Renders:

  • Scenes posed? Complete. (Characters posed in Daz with the environment, clothes, and other props loaded in.)
  • Rendered? Complete. (Rendered in Daz providing a complete image file.)
  • Photoshopped? Complete. (De-noising, color correction, instances of clothes or body parts clipping removed.)

Script:

  • Image names ordered? Complete. (Determines the order images appear as player plays through the scenes.)
  • Dialogue and Narration? Complete. (The text on screen.)
  • Choice paths? Complete. (The menu choices that pop up.)
  • Coding? Complete. (The logic that determines which images and text are displayed and how variables value is stored.)
  • Animation loops? Complete. (During erotic scenes this determines how long a sex act continues for. Note that Oxar's animations are coming in Day 3 Sexpansion.)
  • Verify variables? Complete. (This is the menu choice that pops up at the end of every release. Used primarily for error detection.)

Test release:

  • Alpha. Complete.
  • Beta. Complete.
  • Omega. Complete. (Release is dependent on everything above being marked complete.)

Edit: Omega test version is up.

I'm going to investigate some software progress trackers to see if I can find any that provide a more fitting format.

I'm not falling for the trap of announcing a estimated release date this time. I desperately want to say a week, but I'm going to take my time and get it right. I will update this post when a status for any of the items changes.
