  • For this, I roughed out all the layouts and poses for each panel. Then I added some 3D models for each martial art styled movement the Drunken Master makes. While working on each pose, I changed the body proportions to work around for how I drew the Drunken Master.

  • After working on the poses for the bottom panels, I got to work on fleshing out all the top panels. For the two middle panels, I made a folder and masked the bottom part of the arm because I wanted the hand and bowls to come out from the panel.

  • Later on, I focused on the top three panels. What I ended up doing was outline the top panel, then copied the outlines, so I could save time on outlining the same pose. Afterwards, I inked the third panel, and then I added all the effects to make it look cool.

  • After outlining the bottom panels, I decided to rework the hands for one of the poses. I did this by drawing a rough of the new hand, then I outlined it in a different colour, and then I merged the new hand later to the final outline layer.
  • For the bowls, I used a 3D model and converted them into line art but kept the 3D model, then I rasterized the 3D layer, so I could convert it into screen tones.
  • Lastly, I added the actions lines for each background, coloured the bowls in red, then I finally added some sound effects for each of the bottom panels, alongside some top panels too. What you see here is me planning where to place the sound effect, and how it's going to look.
