I've mentioned that I am working with a Korean literature professor/writer to do a deeper dive on the songs of BTS.

Here is a sneak peak so you can see our process.

It would also be nice if you tell me which songs you want to see first. I will do the ones you like.

This is the first stage. He does a line by line analysis.

After this, we meet to make sure he isn't "overdoing it". Meaning, I don't want him to force meanings into line when there isn't any. I also ask questions or ask for clarifications if some things aren't clear.

If the need be, he revises and then I turn it into a format more friendly for readers and also prepare it for filming since I also want to release a video version of this.

Below is the screenshot. I attached it so you can download it for better reading.

I also would welcome any comment, constructive criticism or suggestion.

p.s.

I would also be open to doing any song that isn't BTS. It won't be fast but it would a welcome break from BTS songs.

Oh I am going to love this! Thank you!!! Fun that you shared the work for bapsae! It’s one of the first songs I got into and I still love it!

🤗 First of all, thank you for your hard work. I always appreciate if l can get such detailed and explained translations, because the subtitles on YouTube are often without context. And thank you for choosing 'Baepsae'. I really love this song. But especially international ARMYs, (like me) appreciate to have an explanation, to fully understand the context with Korean culture, history and society 🥹👌 As for a request, there are 2 songs coming to mind immediately. I always wanted to have a contextual translation and interpretation for 'Ddang' by our Rap-line. And/or a deeper dive on Agust Ds 'DDay'.
