Well hello, everyone :)

This video is the complete flow from Stepping Stones practice. In place of a voice-over, I have selected music that I hope you will enjoy!

The beginning of this session takes time to stretch your quadriceps, aka quads (a group of hip-flexor muscles). There are four quadriceps (duh) so you will notice that I take time for at least 3-4 different angles.

Lying prone (on your stomach, like Cobra) reach back and grab your foot. Bring your foot to your butt, and try to relax into the stretch as much as possible. Differentiate the quad stretch by angling your foot in 3-4 directions:

  • to the center of your glutes (glutes = your butt) 
  • to the outer glutes (outer glutes = edge of butt)
  • to the medial glutes (cross your foot towards your opposite butt cheek)  

:) Again, try to relax into each angle of the stretch.

On each side, apply pressure through your feet and elevate into a half-bow stretch. This accentuates extension through your spine and provides foundation for healthy posture. 

Follow along with the rest of the video by watching. For this kind of practice, I believe the power of mind-body connection overrides the talk-listen method :)
