Hello Patrons!

This is the first video released from my new yoga room. I'm using a new webcam and software program, and will have to do a little tinkering to improve the video quality. It should be at least 1080 but I'm only getting 720p, which is a bit disappointing for me! I will change the settings for my next video to make it better.

Regardless, this yoga practice is a great routine for your whole body. Part one incorporates:

  • restorative yoga
  • yoga for flexibility
  • yoga alignment
  • yoga massage

COMING UP IN PART TWO, I will share exercises for your CORE to help you stretch your legs, and a couple of STANDING leg stretches.

P.S. This should also be titled Yoga for Weight Loss because I'm losing the extra weight gained during my stay-at-home quarantine!

BEGINNER FRIENDLY LEG STRETCHES | PART ONE

  • Upper Body Relationship to Leg Stretches, @ 2min
a) Recline with upper body support, using yoga blocks under your chest and head
b) Include a gentle twist with lower body
  • Seated Leg Stretch, @ 7:15min
a) Extend one leg at a time
b) Place your hands to the ground next to your hips and use your arms like pillars to elevate your upper body, allowing gravity to lengthen your core from the anchor of your lower body
c) Reach a yoga strap around the foot of your extended leg, keeping your upper body supported with elongated arms and core
  • Reclined Leg Stretch, @ 14:50min
a) Lift one leg at a time
b) Massage the hamstring by bending and extending your leg while using your hands in a "basket clasp" around the belly of the muscle
c) Massage the calf by pointing and flexing your ankle as you move your "basket clasp" or yoga strap along the length of your calf muscle
