America – spreading its "democracy" like herpes... You know it's a strong episode when Gareth is crying and Dave gets that empty, tired look on his face. Thanks for taking it on, though; it provided some valuable context. Like, I knew the basic outlines, but this helped me fill in a lot of the blanks. Also, it made me understand (and appreciate) the 1967 protests against the Shah's visit to Germany even better. Fucking hell. It's painful to think how much misery came out of this. (Anyway, great beards, guys. Both of you.)
