So when Dave mentioned mental health, it reminded me of something I thought of as I watched last week’s Chollop. I know the comment he made at the beginning of this episode was jokey but still… Watching the last Chollop Dave and Gareth both seemed down. Of course I don’t know either of them at all. Like literally anything could be going on. It could even be me projecting. I have no real idea. But to me, they seemed like maybe they weren’t feeling great. So I thought I would just send a little message on the off chance that they get a moment to read this. Dave, Gareth, & Anyone else who needs to it, If you are a Take-A-Second-&-Breathe type of person, this is for you: I hope you are ok. I hope you find the moments to smile and to breathe. I hope you sit outside and find a second to feel the sun and maybe even sit with a chubby cat or a fluffy dog (or a scaly lizard or a fat sea lion or whatever carefree beast you can find) and share in their contentment. If you’re more of an Act-Like-A-Goober type of person, this is for you: The Care Bear Stare. I would insert a Care Bear stare gif here but I don’t think Patreon allows that. Anyone who thought Dave had a book-stacking habit instead of bookshelves, just remember that multiple labradoodles reside in that house... Can you imagine how many times per day he would have to restack those books?!

Jerry did kinda make things a lot harder for us people in the LGBT community in my pocket of Australia. Even though you knew it was fake, even though THEY knew it was fake, it did reinforce a lot of stereotypes and cemented certain things in peoples heads about us. It made a lot of already bigoted folks feel like they had permission now to say and do violent things to us because they saw it on tv. Springer should have stuck to trying to reform prisons. Rot in pieces, pal.

I have seen the Jerry Springer Opera!! One of my favourite theatres in my area did it. We were crying laughing the whole time. It’s super long. Three acts. I saw it YEARS ago. But the one thing I remember is Jerry ends up getting shot by a guest. Satan shows up while he’s in purgatory and forces him to go to hell with him. And then Jesus and Satan have three minute opera fugue where the only lyrics the two say to each other are “fuck you.” It’s quite the show.
