Hey, ya'll put some respect on "The Quizards" name!

Melazond

Silo is the adaptation of the book series by Hugh Howey. Not exactly just some rich people who want to know what it’s like out there. But now I’m worried about the show if that’s what it seems to be! Also west coast people pronounce Aaron and Erin the same, like “air-in”. Very frustrating for a New Yorker who would pronounce it “Aaron” with the “a”like “cat” and “Erin” with…this is tough… the “e” in, like, “fed”? Or “Thread”? Californians don’t say “thr-ay-d”. there is I think in the Midwest they say “ayg “ for egg—— anyway! If you want to get REAL Staten Island about it, you can get a little bit of a “V” in that “R”, like EH-rv in… god that’s hard to explain . And nobody asked. But it’s funny cuz it’s been one of those things that always bothered me that no one else could hear! Except Ozzies. They might be “ear-in” but they know there’s a difference!

I’m not sure where to comment to get into the next mailbag, but have you ever considered doing a show in Germany? I’m in Dresden and would love to come out to see it. We also have some wild characters a la Karl May that I feel could be Dollop worthy

Dave, I totally remember "Face!" 🤣 it took me a minute to figure out what you were talking about. I thought you were talking about some character named Face but yeah it was an expression... Good throwback! 😂

Aww, man, MTV Teen Wolf was insane. It was theoretically a gritty reboot of the movie but it was just entirely off the rails. Sort of a prerequisite to Riverdale now

Question for Gareth: my son cat, Screech is afraid of rain, snow, ladders, people in hats, wind, different food bowls, etc. I’ve had him since he was a newborn so he has no reason to be afraid. Does Jose have any weird fears?

Outback also had or still has a dessert called Chocolate Thunder from Down Under.

I'm very keen to hear Gareth discuss stalking from a man's perspective. I've been 'lightly' stalked by various men since my teenage years (including currently) — which is probably fairly common among women — but I find the idea of a female stalker to be frightening in a different kind of way.

Question: Have you guys seen the "How to Blow Up A Pipeline" movie, and what did you think of it? I thought it was fine, while understandably pulling a bit of its punch (partly via the Ocean's Eleven aesthetic) in order to have it be distributed as a movie at all (you probably can't make an appropriately antagonistic adaptation unless you're Michael Haneke, and that's not his jam). Also, did Dave - like me - think of the Logan character (the white brah/aaauw-man California rich-kid dude) throughout the movie as essentially Gareth with a mild head-injury? (Not a diss on Gareth; probably more due to Gareth having a pretty thick surfer-dude affect to his speaking voice, and the Logan character ends up being fairly sweet anyways. Cheers and love to the both of you).
