This made my chest burn with rage

Name one robot in The Hobbit that isn't shaggable

I have a strong memory of when I was 12 and my grandfather told me I couldn't do a man's job. He tried to tell me that if I did, I would have to lift heavy things. I told him that was fine, I already lift engine parts for my uncle's constant DIY projects. He ended off by mumbling something like, "Well you can't, it's what men do. That's why they get paid more." Don't worry though, in a few short years he actually became pretty progressive after living with us, but that whole thing about men lifting heavy things feels like a weird catchphrase from the 70s that reached even across the ocean to Australia.

Back in the early 70s or late 60s, my grandma was involved with the Republican farm housewives group in our area. She knew PS was a Republican speaker, and would be passing through, so she invited her to her house and hosted a meeting so she could speak. According to family lore, once Phyllis finished and her points had been made, grandma stood up and basically bawled her out in front of all the other women and kicked her out of the house.

For the folks outside of St. Louis, when Dave said "Schlafly" a wave of recognition went over the audience. I think I said "Oh no," several times over. The name is well-known... Schlafly is the largest independent craft beer company native to St. Louis. There are multiple brewpub locations. They host annual beer fests and multiple other largely attended events throughout the year. They're a big fucking deal in St. Louis... It is the same family. The name isn't a coincidence. The brewery was started by one of PS's nephews. They're just one of a few large beer companies in the STL area. Missouri has a few. I remember hearing years ago that the owner of Schlafly was a Trump supporter and funded his campaign, so I begrudgingly stopped drinking the beer. I also live in Missouri, so unfortunately everyone who is liberal here knows and encounters Trump supporters everywhere and many of them own local businesses. It's the norm and many of us know more people who openly support Trump than not. It sucks... I caved about a year ago after a Schlafly brewpub opened within walking distance of my home and had a brew. It had been my favorite beer company up until learning the owner funded Trump's campaign. I don't expect the tides of the owner's politics to change and was especially pissed to find out live at the show that this same family had shit-bird Phyllis in it, albeit for very selfish reasons because I can't in good conscience ever drink their beer again. Having a few brews and not knowing this atrocious history felt iffy. I felt ashamed learning that this kind of hate was homegrown here. She's a monster for so many reasons but I am still personally very pissed knowing that she is affiliated with the brewery company by familial lineage. I can only imagine what that den of vipers says behind closed doors.... We have a very large historically German population in STL and I can't help but think we probably have several families with a history of sympathizing with Germany during WWII. Fucking STL, smfh.

Well, this one is definitely in the category of Dollop episodes that make my blood boil. What a terrible human being.

This was a real treat guys. The openers and closers, chills. Love you boys, can’t hear talk like this on many publications. It’s really refreshing.
