What's up, homies! It is time for the penultimate episode of The Last of Us. Hard to believe we're already so close to the end of this amazing story. Stress levels at a ten as always.

Oh heck yes can't wait to rewatch with y'all tomorrow. This was a killer one. Holy cow.

OleTad1987

I had to pause the stream after Hector did the mama bird feeding face 🤣🤣🤣

Eric Sabio

Augustine was saying everything I was thinking. I spit my drink out when he hit us with the “vapoo sana sana”

Oh hi Troy..... bye Troy. David is one of the most unsettling and hated characters of part 1 which after the episode you can understand why. Just another great episode. That "Baby girl" from Pedro at the end to Ellie got me

Shane Kimbrell

I think Hector missed the "baby girl" line at the end... either way great reaction to a great episode. Glad you guys received this episode early so it was posted right away. Thanks guys!

KTok

Great reaction!! And Joel may not have called her Sarah but he did call Ellie babygirl which is the first time he’s said that in 20 years. Definitely a great one to watch the after interview things this week for Hector!

Zack Miller

Joel saying "It's okay babygirl, I got you", the same thing he was saying to Sarah as she was dying, just hit so hard and shows how their relationship has progressed!

David Lonewolf Wright

What an episode! Bella Ramsey killed it, literally, stabbing David 21 times at the end. Sort of off/adjacent topic, I won a gift card from NatureBox at work. I was thinking that I could use some healthy snacks. Their newest item is Salted Caramel Krispy Squares with Cordyceps... uhm, no thanks to that. I am guessing the fungal apocalypse is almost here and the perfect substrate is actually rice crispy squares.

Excellent episode. I always find this part of the game/series interesting. Cause you start seeing Joel's vengeance and brutality. Like he didn't need to kill those two men, but he starts loosing his sense of reason when Ellie is in danger. Also this was almost pretty much like the game. But it a lot more extended. Scene in the dinner though with the fire and Ellie killing David is exactly the same, and amazing actor who made David so hated, that was excellent.

Elisa DL

Having played the game and knowing from the start what's about to happen didn't make this any easier to watch, actually I think knowing what David's up to made it worse. When Joel was being kiiinda violent I was like, bit harsh but fair. Had a lot of fun watching along with you, can't wait for next week, it's gonna be a doozy.

Josh Hoyt

David here was better than game David. What an incredible adaptation and episode

I loved the way this episode exposed religion for everything it has become, especially in the after show podcast. I was especially thankful due to the level of mental unbalance we're having to deal with in Florida currently. David is the perfect example of what happens when evil pretends to be moral and then people of weak mind and constitution allow this evil to perpetuate itself. Augustine was right, I could tell David was no good from the start. Abusive men carry that aura around with them. I cheered Ellie on when she was caving in his head. It's like Henry Crabgrass says, "Consent, please!" Both Bella and Pedro deserve Emmys. Can't wait to see A* in next week's episode!

I've been waiting for this episode. It definitely delivered, except for a small little thing: it didn't have Ellie and David saving each other from infected. I think that part in the game helped make David's intentions less suspicious, justified him seeing violence in her, and showed how much she had learned from Joel. But I loved that they kept all emotional points and the best dialogues. I let out a little scream of excitement when I realized they would do the whole torture scene (then I realized how disconcerting it is to root for torture). Very batman-y, Joel

2023-04-28 17:55:33 When Pedro, Bella and Gabriel was revealed to be casted in TLOU, I did'nt have too much expectations because I know these actors DELIVERS.. just look at them.. look at tonight.. Bella stepped out of GoT and delivers Fire & Blood to this show.. ❤️👌

im bummed they didn't include the infected in this episode like they did in the game. Other than that I think this is another banger episode. They are even creepier in live action. As someone who hates loud chewing, that eating scene was horrible lol

Matt Rivera

I know it’s a long shot, but please rewatch Ace Ventura 1 and 2. It’s been forever since I’ve watched those and it would be awesome to rewatch with you guys lol. “It’s in the bone, it’s in the bone!” “Three darts is too much!”

I initially thought this season was 8 episodes so I was worried they would skip this plotline. So glad we have one more episode. Also this reaction was fkin hilarious!!

Hard to watch and yet satisfying episode. Ellie really shows us our humanity as does Joel. The good, the bad, and the ugly. Yet, there is still more. Hey Sylvia Hector's MOM LOL

TimTakDoh

The contrast between Jackson(commune/communism) and this group(Theocracy/religion) is very interesting. Jackson was thriving working together, sharing etc. And this group was literally disaster. Great, great contrast. Bella is a superstar. She was a badass in Game of Thrones at such a young age and she's proven she's not just a one time hit. Give her all the awards

Corey pohlman

that bit at the end when they ref hector's mom got me lol

Whitney Wallace

I'm glad I chose to watch episode 8 as a watch-along with you. I don't know if could have handled the intensity on my own. I don't know what it means to be an actor, but the performances this cast churns out are nothing short of PHENOMENAL. Oh, and 🗣"Hi, Sylvia!" 👋🏾

Foggy

Ellie forever and goodbye!!!

Joel: But why in my booboo. I have no idea if thats right or wrong either lol. This was a great eps, mad about the horse, loved Joels " it's ok, I believe him" line. I hope this final eps is a really long one like the 1st eps

From a medical standpoint, it does not actually matter how antibiotics get into your system, as long as they get there. We give them intravenously in the arm because it just helps speed the process up and make it a little more efficient (so we can use less medicine than Ellie does here), but what Ellie did will absolutely work as well. The biggest danger in what she did is accidentally injecting some directly into the stomach, where it will kill all of the bacteria that allows you to digest food, and then you're pretty much fucked. Also... injecting it straight into his wound would absolutely hurt like fucking crazy, lol, but he's Joel, he can take it.

Anza

Ooo, nice to know, and yeah, right in the wound could not have been nice for Joel, if he was more aware at that point, lol
