Ah, the old Dung Ball, normally found in its natural environment reaching out in desperation to be reunited with its magical beetle waifu. A love story for the ages. When encountered without the Dung Beetle Knight around; you know that this story has turned to tragedy, because no living DBK would leave its one true love empty and unattended.

If you click the Dung Beetle Knight tag at the bottom of this post you can read about the various ways that the Dung Ball should be handled when fighting the DBK, and as such we'll instead take a look at what one should do with the ball if it is discovered abandoned, alone and lifeless.

In this case the ball is actually one of the most interesting and unusual pieces of terrain in the game. Due to its obstacle keyword it is something which can be used in some edge cases as mobile terrain. In short, you can set up a survivor who does not care about line of sight (like our favourite old meditating support shamans) or is content to attack and then duck behind cover because they are using Dash to play it safe.

It is rare that you will need to push this ball around, and shoving it into the monster doesn't really achieve anything, but never forget that it is mobile and you can choose to move it anywhere between 1 and 5 spaces. One day maybe in some future showdown this will become even more important. We'll see.
