635 A Wager for Might (Patreon)

In A Wager for Might, a group of level 7 adventurers learns the story of Sebastian Brie, an accomplished spellcaster who yearned for learning the arcane secrets that lie beyond the fabric of space and time. Sebastian created a magic device that would open a gaping portal to the plane of madness, summon forth heralds from the ineffable realm, and then bind them to Sebastian's will.

The doomed mage underestimated the creatures' power and fell for their mind onslaught. In a bout of madness, Sebastian activated his binding device while standing in the magic circle. The strange abominations and himself were dematerialized and distilled into a liquid extract in a glass vial. Now, the characters have a chance to use Sebastian's device and acquire a powerful artifact.

This adventure takes the heroes to a mage lair, confronts them with otherworldly guardians and deadly traps, and gives them access to the Void Extract, a strange artifact that has the potential to change the course of their campaign!
