530 Poisoned Faith (Patreon)

Denizens of the Tower! This story is about Father Winfred, a man with a troubled past who wishes to atone for his sins by leading a peaceful life devoted to the faith and others. For years, he succeeded. The man is loved and admired in Redhills Town and the many smaller communities nearby. Father Winfred earned the trust of the people and now has his church. But things were about to change for the worse.

A foul demon named Blagg'zur perceived the dark past which still haunts the poor man's mind, despite his attempts to block it. Even from another Plane of Existence, the demon poisoned Winfred's mind and body. Combined with the high influence of the religious man in the region, the Pilgrims of the Abyss were born. The church now displays a horrible flesh cocoon which fosters a growing physical version of the demon. Blagg'zur intends to come to the Material Plane and someone must stop this!
