Just wanted to share some more tests ive done
I'm fairly confident in saying that I've finally tamed skeleton building. Not mastered, of course, but I finally got things to bend and move the way I want, parented in a way that things move together when I want them too move together.

Weight painting the bones has become less of a challenge too, just had to frustrate myself enough with the bugs to smooth out the workflow of making things function.
So now that the bones and muscles are moving the way I want, here are a few mini tests i rendered.
First, we have here a lil hop that I started yesterday



Then i went ahead tweaking a few things, and fixed a lil issue with the shading i was having



the lighting reveals some flaws in the way some things jiggle, but im not stressing over it bc I know exactly how to fix it. 

and for a lil practice this morning, i did this up real quick- finally gave this boi some pussy- its sharing a color texture with his tongue rn though lol, I'll want to change that, but tbf all the textures are just placeholders until I can design something more polished





didnt get a chance to fix the lighting here- but in practicing my efficiency at editing my skeleton to different models, I have here a model for Laeroba that ive been tinkering with for a few months now >w<
His model and my model have been evolving together, and Ive learned a lot just troubleshooting issues that pop up when updating the skeleton between the two of'm




oh and also I modified that Kaa model for my buddy King, too, for his bday a while ago :3


I'll have to return to work on my snake model soon though, apply what I've learned to make my snake model easier to coil and work with yknow
I think I'll put up a poll for what I should do as my first big animation project 🤔 I'll take some time to brainstorm achievable ideas ♡
