“Now, some of you may be thinking ‘shooting lightning from their fingertips? Magic!’ and you’d be right. We live in a world where magic is very real and very dangerous. Only those in the capital, Archon, are permitted to wield magic. And even then, it’s only the security who are able to do so properly after years of training. Hearing this may not mean much right now, but every decade or so, there are around a dozen children born with the power to wield magic at whim. All different kinds! Fire, lightning, ice, water, gravity, and nature are the only ones recorded by the history books, but every generation of -as we call them- Magis (pronounced Mag-eyes) leads to more magic discoveries. And a new generation is expected to be born in about a year or so. Who knows what type of magic they will wield this time?”
