After being with SubscribeStar for the month of August and for the first few days of September, I can safely say that I hate it as a platform for writers like myself. It's far too inconveniencing to post or even be in touch with supporters and there are a lot of little things that build into a big problem (one of them being the payout system that the site has). So, much to my dismay, I'm going to be moving back to Patreon fully. At the end of September, I'm going to close down my SubscribeStar (hopefully before it charges people so I'm not stuck with money in the account that I can't have access to).

As a result of moving back to Patreon, tiers will be changed at the start of the month in order to properly reflect the incentives that people got at SubscribeStar. $30 will get a free 3k word story each month on top of their 30% discount, $50 will get a free 5k word story each month on top of their 50% discount, $15 will get their 15% discount and (unfortunately) lose access to the monthly giveaway that I planned to do in order to give back to my fans as thanks for your support.

Something I'm thinking of doing to replace the giveaway is to pick one story a month and have a piece of artwork to go along with it. It doesn't feel the same to me, but those at the $15 tier and higher will have a say in what story gets the piece of art each month. So, going off of what I posted in August, if I did a vote for what story would get the art piece, when the art is finished in September, the story would be reposted with the art to go with it. It doesn't quite feel right, but it's an idea for tossing around.

For now, though, I want to apologize to those that pledged to SubscribeStar because I was making the move. At the time, I truly thought it was the way to go and it would make things easier on me with how Patreon has been. But it seems that outside of making my own website with a subscription service (which I have no knowledge in how to do that), there is no proper answer to leaving Patreon for good or even managing to give back to people who support me at random so everyone has an even chance of getting something back.
