This is where I react to pilot episodes of shows I've never seen (so, obviously, NO SPOILERS please).

If I enjoy the pilot and, more importantly, if I get enough positive feedback from you, I might turn it into a full reaction series at some point.

A Few Notes:

  • This video is in a watch along format. This means you'll need your own copy of the episode to watch alongside my reaction. This is in an effort to avoid copyright infringement.
  • If you're based in the UK (or using a UK streaming site), here are instructions for how to get your copy to sync with mine.
  • The show footage will play for the first 30 seconds with both video and audio. After that, the show footage will be silenced, and the video will be blurred for the remainder of the episode. There is also a count-up timer that begins once the episode has started. These things will hopefully make it easier for you to keep your copy of the episode synced with mine.
  • This episode was viewed on Amazon Prime.
  • If you want to know what’s coming up, check out the schedule here.

Gary Marshall

Definitely worth a watch as it is only a short series. The first season is based on a book by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett who both write comic fantasy/sci fi books. I am a great fan of Pratchett's Discworld series of books but he sadly died a few years ago from Alzheimer's. Neil Gaiman is well respected and did the screenplay for the series and believe wrote the second season. The cast is stellar but it is fair to say that Tennant and Sheen are the main attraction and their current friendship stemmed from this show.

I'd been wanting to do a complete rewatch now that season 2 is out. I'd love to see your reactions alongside it, you really bring a great new perspective to shows I love. Aziraphale and Crowley have one of my favourite fictional dynamics ever, and the actors are so good together they've become good irl friends now too. I'm like you in that I'm there for the characters a lot more than the story, and I hope you love them as much as I do.
