This is a great episode and I love it. I'm glad you enjoyed it too. A few random thoughts. You could nitpick the mechanics of things like sync-ing the conversation or the duck warning - it's one thing to know what someone will say or where they will be but you need super specific timing for something like that. But I can let that go for the sake of enjoyment of the episode. The scene with Billy and Sally in the hospital is moving but it works because the Doctor told Billy in 1969 the date on which he was going to die, and details like it's when the rain stops. That's kind of messed up. Speaking of Billy, the actor was in Classic Who. I'm working my way slowly through CW and I just got to the story in he appears in this week. Pretty sure Jeremy-Beremy is a homage/gentle ribbing on timey-wimey. Sally Sparrow is a great character. That actress really should do more ;) I feel like 17 DVDs is the perfect number, especially in 2007. I remember going from having no pre-recorded VHS tapes to loads of movies and boxsets in about a year or so. One moment it was a bit odd and only something a nerd would do then it was just normal. I like the ending. Having a little 4th wall break to deliberate freak out the audience, especially the kids feels perfect for a show that had me hiding behind the sofa as a kid. "Well, four things and a lizard" is what you put on a T-Shirt.

In TV airings, after Billy says "I have until the rain stops" and Sally agrees to stay with him, there is a commercial break. It seemed like the rain "bled" into the break and was still "falling" during the commercials. The first time I saw this episode on TV, I actually wished that the break would last longer, and I was fully aware in that moment of how powerful the show was to give me that feeling. Unbelievable writing and acting work in this one, it is one of my favorite episodes of all time. One other note: This is a "Doctor-lite" episode, obviously. It is also "Martha-lite". It's very unusual for a Doctor Who episode not to have either the Doctor or a companion in most scenes, but they nailed it here. And yes, you can find lots of T-shirts that say "The Angels Have The Phone Box". 😁
