Don’t worry Britany, what you are experiencing is first regeneration fan syndrome:) Will you like the next Doctor - will the show be the same? - questions every fan asks - new or old, after every Doctor. I LOVE that Christopher Eccleston is now so many new fans first Doctor. Please mind that many times it takes a new actor to the role, and the writers, a series to nail down a Doctor - see what works so to speak. (That is not aimed at this or any Doctor- just a general rule of thumb.) In most cases it takes fandom a few episodes, or more, to adapt to a new Doctor but that is the fun of the show. Incase you are wondering a new Doctor is still the same Doctor - still has all the same memories and experiences. Loved your reactions to Eccleston’s series, one of my favourite series of all time, and I’m an old fan from the mid 1970’s. I look forward to joining your journey for the next era.

Looking at other shows and actors you like, I think it’s likely you’ll enjoy David’s iteration of the doctor. There are some well written interesting stories/characters during his run. I do recommend Christopher’s Big Finish audio stories - the 9th doctors adventures before Rose - while he’s still fresh in the mind though. Appreciate the specialness of Nine/series 1 as long as you can. I strongly advise avoiding anything that details the behind the scenes relations between actors/writers/crew during the filming of dr who (particularly series 1). Just to stay in the fantasy of the show and not have anything potentially taken away. A good rule of thumb for all shows. The Dr Who: Confidential eps are ok, no drama, they just focus on technical elements of shooting, sets, costume design, cast interviews, etc.
