Rulings in Practice: Sanity Checks

The first sanity mechanics appear in Call of Cthulhu in 1981 and, in many ways, it remains the definitive mechanical model: The character is confronted by something unnatural, stressful, or terrifying. They make a check using their Sanity attribute. If the check succeeds, everything is fine.

Did this one go out as "Rulings in Practice - Social Skills" and then get renamed?

It did, actually! There was a Wordpress metadata thing where the original link for the article was incorrectly reporting its title as "Social Skills."
