I have a history associating Simikiel with greens, but I was inspired for this piece by images of aged copper. There's something about mixing shiny copper colors with a faded green patina that felt really exciting to me.

This piece, like the last version of Justice is also inspired by Brom, but this time I feel like I'm honoring his work much better. The contrast between the black leather along with the pale skin feels much more natural and striking this time around. The insight that has been making the difference is about setting clearer priorities. Instead of trying to cram a bunch of ideas together, and giving everything a lot of contrast, I've made a simpler composition and hierarchy of values. The effect of making the painting more simplified and direct is that it's just more impactful. It reminds me of the best qualities of my older work.

Looks so good. Also, Brom is also one of my favourite artists. These redos show so much of your artistic talent. I love the changes you made
