The Emperor Tarot - Work in Progress 2 (Patreon)

After getting my day filled up with meetings and email, I decided to stick it out and work late last night. Working long days isn't sustainable, but there is something about the way the exhausted mind has an easier time finding that delicate path of least resistance through an idea. It's been nice!

Even as I crunch to complete this piece before the end of the month, I still feel excited to work on it. I'm in the same mental place with The Emperor as I was with The Moon.

Colorwise, I'm borrowing a bit from older versions of Samyaza, but I don't mind. I'm finding new and intuitive color combinations by just playing around. Having built up strong values early on is paying dividends in giving me excellent results from the gradient maps.
