The Emperor Tarot - Work in Progress 1 (Patreon)

I just got started on this piece this week! I'm so behind this month. However, I am very happy with how this piece is coming together and I'm spending this whole week focusing on it.

The longer I work on the Tarot series, the more I feel like I'm recovering some lost knowledge of how I used to make paintings a few years back. I've been taking these initial steps much more seriously and its been resulting in pieces that feel more impactful and dynamic. The key in a lot of cases is going back to the low, wide angle camera that I've always loved. Sometimes it feels like a hack but I also think it helps keep the overall look of the art consistent.
