History of Westeros

Looks like I forgot to post this while I was in Boston, but we're on per usual today!

It seems to me Stannis and Tyrion have rather similar storyline trajectories and a lot of that starts here and in this novel. For the most part in ACOK they seem to be in the drivers seat, and making the most out of their personal situations. All to have it come crashing down at the end of the novel. In ASOS they spend much of the novel licking their wounds from the end of the previous novel, but Do have their own moment at the end of ASOS. ADWD goes better for Stannis then it does Tyrion but in the TWOW sample chapters, they are coming back into their own and startingto function once again at the best of their capablities, as we hear Tyrion "Leave that to me" in regards to his plan to get a sellsword company to change sides. And Stannis : You have no high ground here, no walls to hide beyond, no natural defenses."-Theon "Yet."-Stannis .
