Hi all!


I'm starting the work & careers releases by adding a branch to the sales career: it'll now split into sales-manager and elite-saleswoman paths. Which promotion you're offered first will be random, but you can refuse a promotion to wait for the next one.


This means adding a new skill (management) so I've put in an event that unlocks training for it, as well as a small repeatable work scene that allows for some conflict with your boss - I may add more of these in the future as well.


I've also halved passive skill-gain from work. As such, I'm now working on a new scene that allows the player to train their charm skill - it isn't reasonable to rely on passive gain any more.


As part of this, I've today added a new internal system that lets temporary traits be applied to the player. This was something I originally had planned for the storyline releases, but I think it works here as it allows side-effects to getting skill training from Ivy. It works by applying the trait (and overriding any opposite traits) but only for a fixed amount of time - currently ten weeks.


Are there any traits you'd like to see applied to your characters as temporary mad-science side-effects? It makes most sense for these to be "bad" traits so I've started with the Baby-Crazy and Bitchy traits. I'm also considering low-self-esteem and maybe even low-willpower, although that last would require a rework of how willpower is handled internally. What do you think, are there any of these you really hate, or any others you'd like to risk getting mad-scienced onto your pc?
