Tuesday morning, 18 January 2022

David watched nervously as Mr Everett sat down beside him. As Headmaster of the Kingswood Academy, the students feared incurring his wrath, though those who had experienced him actually found him to be… surprisingly wrath-free! It was Mr Reeves, the school’s Deputy Headmaster and Head of Discipline that truly deserved the fear of the students.

David had only found himself on the bad side of Mr Everett once, back in Year 7 when he had owned up to a serious breach of IT security he had committed. He had done so to protect his friends from facing punishment for his deeds and Mr Everett had very much respected the honesty, loyalty and courage it took. That still didn’t stop him from handing out a punishment and remained a day David would always remember.

Since then, he had stayed clear of the Headmaster’s office. That wasn’t to say he was a perfectly-behaved boy, not by a longshot. On the surface, he was a top grade student, widely respected by his peers for his intelligence and trusted by his teachers. Beneath that lurked his slightly sneakier tendencies. Aside from his ongoing ventures into the world of IT and hacking, David had discovered a love of spying on his classmates in intimate situations. Fortunately, David also excelled at not getting caught and so far his reputation, aside from the Year 7 incident, remained safely intact.

Mr Everett was always lauded as one of the best Headmasters at Kingswood and any conversation with him quickly revealed one of the top reasons for that – he knew his students. Considering he had little to no interaction with the boys on a one-to-one basis, he knew every one of their names, their classes and even a rough idea of their interests and hobbies. “Morning David,” he said as he sat down beside the anxious boy. “Excited for today?”

David looked up the man and just hummed, “Ermmm…”

Mr Everett smiled and nodded. “Ah, nervous for today?” he asked instead.

“Yes sir!” David replied quietly with a slight chuckle.

“Don’t you hate it when you’re nervous and someone says ‘don’t be nervous’, like it’s something you’re choosing to do!” Mr Everett said, frowning thoughtfully.

A small smile crept onto David’s face. Anxiety was one of the problems David had faced in his first couple of years at the school, often manifesting in the form of his now well-managed agoraphobia, but always just a constant little niggle in the back of his mind. He wondered if the Headmaster was hinting at his specific issues or if this was simply a general observation on anxiety in general, but he nodded again and said, “Yes sir, if it was that easy nobody’d ever be nervous!”

“Exactly!” Mr Everett smiled at the boy. “But nervousness can be good. It usually means you care. If you’re nervous about today, it probably means it really matters to you that you make the right choice. Am I right?”

“You are, sir!” David said, actually feeling a little better about the fluttering in his stomach.

“Well I’m sure Evan has prepared you as well as he can and I know you’ll do your best today. If you can… try to relax and enjoy it,” Mr Everett suggested, then gave a wry grin as he added, “And if you can’t… then stay nervous but enjoy it anyway!” He patted David on the back and nodded a brief goodbye before he headed into the interview room, ready for the first family of the day.

Zane

“That’s wonderful, thank you Zane,” Mr Everett said as the door opened and he gestured for the boy behind him to step out. “This is David, he’ll keep you company while I finish speaking to your parents!”

“Thank you,” the small boy said, very visibly intimidated by the man as he walked out into the waiting area.

David immediately wanted to try and put the boy at ease, seeing him so painfully nervous actually helping him to suppress his own anxiety. He had been coached by his mentor, Evan, on how to approach the situation and they had discussed various ‘plans’. David quickly picked one and stood up. “Grab a seat if you like,” he said, gesturing to the seat next to the one he had just vacated. As Zane went to move, he added, “Or we can go exploring if you prefer, cos waiting out here is gonna be SUPER boring!”

“Erm… aren’t we… supposed to wait here?” Zane asked, obviously weary of misbehaving and affecting his chances of success.

“Nah, it’s okay, we’re allowed to wander, so long as we’re back here when they’re done!” David reassured him. Seeing Zane was still cautious, he took a step towards the door and said, “Come on, this place is huge and basically empty!”

The hotel they were currently in was one of many assets owned by Kingswood Holdings and no bookings were ever taken during the interview period each year, meaning the only people staying there were the students and staff of Kingswood who were attending the interviews, and the actual interviewees, many of whom chose to stay at the hotel ahead of their interviews for conveinece.

“Okay,” Zane nodded, following David out into the hallway.

“So how did your interview go?” David asked, unsure whether it would put Zane at ease or not.

Zane shrugged a little and said, “Don’t know really. I answered all his questions and my dad didn’t tut at me, so that’s probably a good sign!”

David chuckled and nodded, immediately catching on an important opportunity. Aside from establishing a personal connection as their potential future mentor, the boys were tasked with establishing whether the interviewees were compatible with Kingswood’s primarily LGBT (or just GBT really) student population. “Yeah, my dads were both tutting and stuff when I said things that weren’t quite how we practiced!”

“You have two dads?” Zane asked, wide-eyed.

David was unsure how this was going to go. It was a risk to put himself out there like that, largely because he had experienced bullying before Kingswood for having gay parents and it was not something he was keen to repeat, but mentioning them was simply too good an opportunity to miss. “Yeah, I do. They’re so cool.”

“Awesome. I’ve never met anyone with parents who are…” Zane paused, glancing back and forth down the empty corridor as they walked, then finished in a whisper, “Gay!”

“Well now you have,” David said, relieved that the information seemed well-received.

“Wait, does that mean you’re… gay?” Zane asked curiously, lowering his voice to say ‘gay’ again.

David flinched a little. One thing that bothered David about having two dads was the constant speculation or expectation that he himself would be gay, simply because of having gay dads. He took a breath to compose himself, confident the question was genuine curiosity and not any kind of attempt at being insulting. “Having two dads doesn’t mean you’ll end up gay. Most gay people have straight parents and don’t end up straight!”

“Huh, I never thought of that!” Zane giggled, seeming a little more comfortable now.

David was pleased with the response. There was no judgment, no defensiveness, no aggression. He had asked an innocent question, been given an informative answer and, apparently, taken it as a moment to learn. Things were certainly looking promising. “Hey, let’s look in here!” David said, trying to appear casual despite the deliberate choice of rooms.

They walked in and found a small lounge. It was as lavishly decorated as the rest of the hotel, a bold mix of both classic and modern, with a large sofa positioned in front of an expansive TV. Zane immediately started looking round at the other things in the room, but David made a beeline for the TV. He picked up the remote and asked, “Wanna see what’s on?”

“Whatever,” Zane shrugged, opening a small cupboard to see what was inside.

David turned on the TV and immediately headed to the channel guide. He clicked through the lists for a moment, trying not to appear too obvious before he called out, “WOAH, I think this thing has naughty stuff!”

SLAM! The cupboard door shut loudly as Zane immediately turned to stare. “Wh… what kind of… naughty stuff?” he asked, hurrying over.

“The kind where people don’t wear much!” David grinned.

“Like…” Zane started, eyes widening for a moment before he whispered, “Sex stuff?” in a similar hushed tone to the way he had said ‘gay’ earlier.

“Yeah, looks like it!” David nodded. “Huh, looks like they have two channels!” he said, as he turned one of them on. A naked man appeared on screen, pleasuring himself as he lay splayed on a bed. “Guys!” David said, then pressed a button so the picture changed to a couple of women, one fingering the other’s pussy. “And girls!”

It was such a painfully obvious tactic that Evan and the other mentors described, one that most of them had used themselves, but it still remained exceptionally effective, the young boys falling for it easily.

“Which channel d’ya want?” David asked curiously.

“Oh my god. This one!” Zane blurted out, nodding excitedly. “Oh my god, her finger’s RIGHT in there!” He was leaning against the back of the sofa as he stood transfixed by the naked women on screen.

David pouted a little, then changed the channel and asked, “Definitely not this one?”

“No, change it back!” Zane demanded.

With a slight sigh, David changed it back. He had not seen even a hint of interest on Zane’s face. He actually looked a little disgusted at the sight of the naked man. He flopped down onto the sofa, casually watching the screen with mild curiosity but no real interest as Zane unsubtly humped the back of the sofa. ‘One down, three to go!’ David thought to himself unhappily.

Axel

“Thank you sir, it’s been an absolute pleasure to meet you!” the boy who had just been introduced as ‘Axel’ gushed to Mr Everett, who walked back into the interview room. The moment the Headmaster’s back was turned, the boy rolled his eyes, then as the door closed he grunted, “Ugh, thank fuck for that!”

David wasn’t quite sure what to make of the boy based on that particular first impression. In a split second his demeanour, his expression, even the way he stood had completely changed. The last time David had seen anything like it before was when someone said something that triggered one of Mikey’s moods, but that always seemed a little uncontrolled. This seemed more… deliberate.

“So… David!” Axel said as he approached the older boy.

David immediately stood, unsure if he needed to be intimidated. As he climbed to his feet, he found himself almost at eye level with the boy three years his junior. David was at the shorter end of the range for his age group, while Axel was at the higher end of his own, bringing them to almost the same height.

“Whadda we do for fun round here?” Axel asked with a mischievous grin.

David could have easily shrunk away from the boy, and even six months ago that was likely what he would have done, but he stood his ground. His growth spurt, his gradual weight loss from his time at the gym and his growing circle of friends had begun to slowly increase his confidence. But it was something his mentor, Evan, had said earlier that really spurred him on, “You’re their first impression of what a Kingswood student is. Make it a good one!”

David looked the younger boy up and down and asked, “Are you sure you don’t want to stay here and wait for Mr Everett? After all, it was such an ‘absolute pleasure’ to meet him, right?” He smirked as he mocked the tone Axel had used earlier.

Axel’s eyes narrowed, but when David didn’t even flinch, he grinned and said, “Don’t bust my balls, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to get by. If that means sucking up to some crusty old bastard…”

“HEY!” David snapped firmly. Axel actually did flinch now, especially when David raised an accusatory finger, pointing it at him. “I’m all for smart talk, but that’s our Headmaster and you talk about him respectfully. Understood?”

Axel was clearly taken aback by the forceful response, seeming almost like he didn’t know how to respond, so he stood silent for a moment.

David felt momentarily bad for the younger boy. While he got the feeling that Axel was used to being the big fish, the one in charge, the tough kid nobody messed with and probably didn’t get talked back to often, he thought about Evan’s words again. He smiled cheekily and said, “But I’m with ya, sucking up has its place, right?”

The relief was obvious on the young boy’s face as he nodded. “Suck up to the right adults and you can get away with anything!” he smirked.

David let out a snort of laughter as he thought about Rob and said, “I’ve got a friend who says exactly the same thing!”  He nodded for the door and said, “Come on, let’s go find trouble!”

“You already did!” Axel said, throwing his arm casually around David as they strolled out into the hallway. “So, you’re my potential mentor, are ya?” he asked, raising an eyebrow.

David nodded and started, “Yeah, I…” then paused, frowning curiously. He looked to the boy at his side and asked, “Wait, what… how did… erm… is that what… Mr Everett said?”

Axel shook his head as he grinned wickedly. “Nope, never said a word,” he insisted.

“Then how did you know that?” David demanded.

Axel shrugged. “I have my ways!” he said cryptically. “Now, is this the bit where you try and figure out if I’m into other boys?” As David continued to stare in abject confusion, Axel leaned in and whispered, “Spoiler alert…” then gave David a playful peck on the cheek.

“I’m so confused,” David said, shaking his head. “How do you know all this? Has someone told you? Who was it?”

“Shh!” Axel said, placing his finger briefly to David’s lips before annoyingly covering his entire face with his palm.

“Eww, geddoff!” David complained, swatting the hand away. “So… if I don’t need to… erm… TEST you then… whadda you wanna do?”

Axel looked David up and down, waggled his eyebrows playfully and said, “Just cos you don’t NEED to… TEST me, that doesn’t mean you can’t!”

“Oh, so you wanna play?” David asked, pleasantly surprised. Sharing a dorm with such overtly sexual boys, all of whom were more developed and (in David’s opinion) MUCH hotter than him, he felt like he never really got a second look. The most interest he usually got was from either his best friend, James, who still seemed reluctant to get too sexually active and or from Ewan, who was… complicated! Having someone actually WANT to do things with him was as exciting as it was novel.

“Well, I warn ya, I can’t cum and I ain’t got much going on downstairs yet,” Axel shrugged, talking about it so openly that it actually took David a little off guard, “But playing sounds… fun!”

“I’m not… THAT far along myself,” David said, blushing a little as he opened the door to the lounge he had used during Zane’s interview.

“Hey, I’m just curious to see if your pubes are green too!” Axel sniggered, ruffing David’s immaculately styled green hair.

“Eww no,” David said, shaking his head. “Body hair is… just… no!” he said, shaking his head. “I had some, but… I plucked them, and NO they were NOT green!” He turned to shut the door and by the time he looked back to Axel, he already had his shirt unbuttoned and halfway off over his head. “Not shy then?” he asked with a smile.

“Look, things go well today and I’m going to a school where there’s a pretty good chance I’ll be spending a LOT of time naked. Figured I may as well get used to it!” Axel shrugged.

“How do you know all this?” David asked, shaking his head at the boy’s inexplicable knowledge.

“Less talking, more stripping!” Axel said with a cheeky grin.

David shook his head in mild confusion and quickly started removing his uniform. As he began to expose himself, he started to feel a little self-conscious, but seeing Axel so casually and shamelessly nude as he removed the last of his clothes, David steeled himself and pushed through, soon standing nude as well.

“So I probably just wanna jerk off and maybe jerk each other off if that’s okay,” Axel explained with a confident nod. “That’s as much as I’ve done with anyone so far and probably as much as I want to do for now.”

“Hnnh,” David grunted with a wry smile, “You really know what you want, don’t you?”

“Yup,” Axel said firmly. “And no kissing. I haven’t had a first kiss yet and when I do it’s gonna be for love, not some silly hook-up… no offence!”

“None taken,” David said, slightly in awe of the absolute confidence of the boy. “Come on, grab a seat,” he said, sitting down on the sofa.

Axel moved across and barrel-rolled over the back of the sofa but bounced off the seat and landed face down on the floor. “Mistakes were made!” he grunted as he pushed himself up.

David burst into laughter as he reached down and helped Axel back up onto the sofa. The younger boy wasted no time in grabbing hold of David’s dick. David returned the gesture a few moments later and they both sat happily jerking each other off.

“You’re really good at that!” Axel said slightly dreamily, clearly enjoying the feeling, then smirked and said, “Not that I’ve got a lot to compare it to yet!”

“You’re pretty good yourself!” David said back, though he was not the most experienced either. He had only been freed from his Year 7 chastity device four months earlier and in that time he had only been physically intimate with James… and his own hand, obviously.

“We’re cuddling after too,” Axel said, amusingly abruptly, “And if you got a problem with that…”

“No, no problem!” David quickly interjected, already mentally introducing the boy to Chris. “But I am… getting… kinda close!”

“Me too,” Axel said with a happy sigh.

The two boys continued stroking and just as David felt Axel’s cock throb in his hand, signalling a dry but seemingly pleasurable orgasm, he unleashed his own meagre load, coating the other boy’s hand as he continued pumping away.

“Cool!” Axel said happily, raising his hand to inspect the watery spunk. He moved his hand towards David and asked, “Ever tasted it?”

“Not just my own,” David replied as he thought about the circle-jerk ritual from earlier in the year, then blushed as he realised the implication of the answer.

“Let’s split it!” Axel said, leaning in to lick some off before moving his hand closer to David.

David chuckled. Shook his head and said, “Why not!” He leaned in to lick some more off, nodding appreciatively, like a sommelier taking a sip of a fine wine.

“How long til we have to go back?” Axel asked, lifting David’s arm to put it around him.

Giving the boy a quick squeeze, David said, “Ten, maybe fifteen minutes!”

“Great, that’s two minutes to cuddle,” Axel replied, leaning heavily against the older boy, “And thirteen minutes to cause trouble!”

Joel

David was sat waiting for the next boy to emerge from the interview room. He heard someone pass by in the corridor, saying, “Yeah, every loo roll on this floor, just… vanished. Someone obviously thinks they’re funny!” He had to stifle a giggle, knowing Axel would be proud of the trouble he had caused.

“David,” Mr Everett said as he stepped out of the room. “This is Joel.” He placed his hand on a timid-looking boy’s back and ushered him out. “Joel, David here is a student at Kingswood. He’ll keep you company while I finish up with your grandparents.”

“Thank you, sir,” Joel said politely, then looked at David and said, “It’s nice to meet you, David. I hope to join your school!” He remained stood exactly where Mr Everett had left him.

“It’s nice to meet you too,” David said, feeling significantly more confident now he had been through it a couple of times. He stared at Joel for a moment, wondering if he would actually do anything, but as he remained there, looking conspicuous but not uncomfortable, David offered, “Would you like to take a seat, or maybe go see more of the hotel?”

“I have seen all of the hotel that a member of the public is able to see. I have not seen in every room because I am not permitted in every room!” Joel stated matter-of-factly, then thought for a moment and said, “But I would prefer to go somewhere else. I do not like waiting. It is wasted time and time is finite.”

David nodded his agreement, a little bewildered by the other boy’s words, not only for what he said, but also the way he said it. He looked at the laptop tucked under Joel’s arm and offered, “You can leave that here if you don’t want to carry it around. It’s secure.”

“No!” Joel insisted. “I carry my laptop with me at all times when it is safe to do so. Obviously I do not take it into places where I will get wet as that would damage it, but if there is no risk of damage it remains with me!”

“Don’t worry, we won’t be getting wet!” David said with a giggle. “Well, not unless someone starts a fire and it sets the sprinklers off!” he added with a smile, thinking of Axel as the one most likely to do it.

“Is that likely?” Joel asked as he followed David out into the hallway. “I did not check crime rates for this area and do not know how likely arson is and the building appears to be modern but may have old wiring that may pose a fire risk.”

“Relax, it was just a joke!” David smiled.

“I see,” Joel stated. “I do not always understand jokes so if you say any more, it may be a good idea to advise so I can laugh as appropriate.”

The more Joel spoke, the more David got the impression that something was very different about him. It was not hard to spot, and he also didn’t think it was hard to guess what it was, but guessing such personal things was something he was always weary of. Back at Kingswood one of his best friends was also… different, and while he had his guesses there too, he was leaving it to them to tell him when they were ready. He was offering that same courtesy to Joel.

“I bet you haven’t seen in here!” David stated as he reached the lounge and opened the door.

“I would not make the bet as I know I would lose it, as you are correct. I have not!” Joel explained as he followed David inside. “There is an unusual smell in here. I believe it is semen!” he stated bluntly.

David nearly choked. Joel was correct, the lingering scent of his encounter with Axel floated around them, faint but distinct. “Huh!” David said, not sure what else to say. “Feel free to look around the room. I’m going to check the TV!” He walked over to grab the remote again and as he looked back he saw Joel staring up, his head moving slightly. “You okay over there?” he asked curiously.

Joel remained silent for a few moments then declared, “There are one hundred and seventeen complete ceiling tiles and thirty ceiling tiles incomplete due to edges or other features such as lights and smoke alarms.”

“That’s…” David started, then looked up, starting to quickly count but shook his head and asked, “Do you… always count ceiling tiles?”

“It is something I usually do when I am distressed or nervous as it calms me,” Joel explained.

“Oh!” David nodded, then frowned and asked, “Does that mean… are you distressed right now?”

“I am nervous!” Joel stated.

David placed the remote control down and moved closer to Joel as he asked, “What are you nervous about?”

“I have researched The Kingswood School For Boys extensively and it is one of my top three choices for school and I am keen to be accepted into it, but in my research, I have found that The Kingswood School for Boys is primarily a school for LGBT students, which stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender,” Joel recited.

“And you’re worried because you’re… not LGBT?” David asked, curiously.

“No, I believe I am homosexual based on thoughts and feelings I have experienced so far, though I understand such feelings can change significantly during puberty and even into adulthood and feel it is too soon to state conclusively!” Joel explained. “I am nervous because I had concluded that eligibility for the LGBT criteria would need to be established and we have now entered a private room that smells like sexual activity has recently happened, and I do not wish to engage in such activity.”

“Ohhh!” David said sympathetically. “I’m so sorry if I’ve made you nervous! I really didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable,” he said, feeling inordinately bad. “You’re very smart for your age!”

“I am very smart for any age!” Joel replied, not a brag but a simple truth.

David laughed and nodded. “You’d get on well with my friend, James!” he stated confidently. “But don’t worry, you don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do. And I don’t just mean now. I mean ever. If you do come to Kingswood, nobody would expect you to do anything if you weren’t comfortable doing it!”

“That is satisfying information to receive. Thank you,” Joel said, as close to happy as he had sounded so far. “The Kingswood School for Boys is my first choice of school. The Fothergill Academy in Wiltshire is my second choice. I believe you would be aware of that school due to the Southern Counties Inter-school Partnership Scheme of which both The Kingswood School for Boys and Fothergill Academy are members.”

“Yeah, I know Fothergill,” David said happily. “Joel, I don’t need to do or check anything with you so we can just relax and have fun. Would you like to sit down with me and tell me more about your choices of schools?” he suggested with a sweet smile.

“Yes, I would like that!” Joel stated, nodding at David and offering a sincere smile in return.

Callum

David was curious to see what his last potential mentee of the day was like. It had certainly been an interesting and enlightening morning. On the way back with Joel, he had spotted a member of staff carrying a pile of toilet paper rolls, having presumably found the ones he had hidden with Axel earlier. After explaining to Joel why he was laughing, he had listened with mild interest as the unusual boy explained the toilet-paper-making process, having read it online. He left shortly after when his parents finished with Mr Everett.

When Callum, the final potential candidate, emerged from his interview, David was quite quickly enamoured with him, discovering almost instantly a significant number of shared interests. He had followed a similar routine to the one he had taken with Zane (and attempted with Axel and Joel) and soon found himself once again back in the lounge, casually ‘discovering’ the adult channels.

“Ah, sweet, man!” Callum called out excitedly as he realised David’s discovery. “That’s freaking hot!” he declared as he sat down on the sofa, hunched forward to seemingly conceal the small bump.

“How about this channel?” David asked as he clicked to the channel currently showing one man sucking another’s dick.

“Eww, no, none of that gay shit! You wanna see me puke or something? Nobody needs to see faggots going at it! Change it back!” Callum demanded.

Suddenly David was somewhat less enamoured with Callum.

*****

“Thank you for coming,” Mr Everett said, politely seeing off Callum and his parents. As soon as they were gone, he looked to David and asked, “Well?”

“Yeah, it’s a big fat no on that one,” David said, shaking his head.

“Oh, not compatible?” Mr Everett asked curiously. “He seemed like a very responsible young man!”

“A responsible young man who’s happy throwing around the word faggot, sir!” David said, slightly annoyed at the thought of the boy’s comments. He blushed a little and said, “Sorry sir, I shouldn’t have said it like that!”

“It’s okay, context matters!” Mr Everett nodded. “So, it was a ‘no’ to Zane and Callum, but a ‘possibly’ to Axel and Joel, yes?”

“Yes sir!” David nodded.

“Two very interesting young men, that’s for certain!” Mr Everett nodded, a simple observation, not any kind of veiled judgment. “Both very challenging in their own ways too, I would imagine,” he said cannily.

“I’d say that’s a fair assessment!” David said with a thoughtful nod.

“Would I be correct in saying that young Axel presented a somewhat… different attitude out here than he did in there?” the Headmaster asked, gesturing to the interview room.

David smirked. “Not much gets by you, sir, does it?” he asked, answering the question without answering the question.

“Well, I’ve been doing this a long time,” Mr Everett smiled.

“I won’t comment on that, sir,” David said, offering a cautious smile.

Mr Everett let out a hearty laugh and said, “Sensible!” He patted David on the back. “It sounds like you did a wonderful job today, David. Going first is never easy but you’ve done yourself proud. Now all you have to do is make a decision!”

“Oh, is that all?” David asked, letting out a pensive sigh. When Axel left, David’s mind was made up, but it had suddenly come unmade when he witnessed the unusual charm of Joel. “Any chance I can have both?” he asked cheekily.

“Alas not, but you don’t need to decide right away,” Mr Everett informed him. “One of the reasons we do the interviews in batches like this is to give you time to confer with your peers and your mentors so you’re not doing it alone. Though do make sure that it’s YOUR decision in the end.”

“Yes sir, thank you,” David smiled. “I’ve got a lot to think about!”

Naked Justice

Danny would choose Axel. So would I as Axel promises to be a very active member of Kingswood. And David likes to watch. But Joel is much more David. Probably too much. Nevertheless its 51% Joel and 49% Axel. Unfortunately.

Thank for the comments, interesting perspective. I definitely think you're right about Danny. As for David... we will see eventually :)
