Kai nodded to the others to make them hold back as he continued walking with Luca. He took his hand and said quietly, “It’s okay to not talk about it, but… you can if you want! Any time!”

“Thanks,” Luca sighed heartily. “Look, I’m nearly home, I’ll go the rest of the way on my own if that’s okay!”

“Sure,” Kai nodded, “Text me later?”

“Of course!” Luca said, smiling once again as he stopped to face Kai. He glanced around the street a little nervously, then leaned in to kiss him for a moment. “Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and try not to do anything too silly!” he said with a chuckle.

“Hey, that’s really up to that lot,” Kai said, gesturing to the others.

Luca laughed and nodded, then called out, “See you guys Monday!”

As Luca continued on home, Kai rejoined the others. He smiled as he realised that he was actually looking forward to a Monday for the first time ever!
