ch2 p 6 wip (Patreon)

first of all I wanna say how extremely sorry I am that this is late. as some know last weekend and the first half of the week I had no power. the entirety of memphis, tn was hit with a minor thunderstorm that /somehow/ managed to knock out the entire power grid for the whole city. yeah, i was shocked too considering the storm lasted a whopping /15 minutes/.

anyway the 2nd issue is i was having wicked bad problems with this page, and how i want to express the interactions between kano and halcyon. for one, the initial sketch was far too relaxed, hal seemed annoyed yes, but not nearly uncomfortable enough. so i resketched the bottom panel a second time, and it still wasnt working forme. so this panel i redid the angle and opted for a closeup/wide angle shot of them walking into the temple. its the same scene but 'shot at'/ 'carried out' a different way, and it shows hals discomfort around Kano much better. her arm is back because she feels he is too close to her and she doesnt even want to brush up against his arm. the conversation they're having leads to a bit of an intense moment and sort of hal testing her limits with him so it needed to look and feel like a tense situation.

the last thing i want to do is lapse back into doing weak updates that arent conforming to the standard i set for myself this year. so i just keep reworking things until they meet my growing standards.
