It’s time. It's finally happening! Marie still couldn’t believe it, even just 10 minutes before it was supposed to happen: Hiros said that he was coming to the city of Littara to visit her and her homeworld for the first time.

This was the exact moment when Marie, once again, started to second-guess herself like crazy. She knew the two of them had been good friends for a while, and she knew that they had met many times in the past… but still. All of these doubts instantly came rushing forward.

Was Hiros still mad at her for turning him into a centauress that one time when he visited her at her laboratory? If not, what about the time she turned him into a spider girl? There was also that little mistake where she accidently left a gun on a bench, that one of his friends found and then subsequently happened to turn Hiros into a waifu version of Mythra.

…Oh what she would give to stop being so incompetent sometimes…

No, this wasn't the time to wallow in self doubt. Hiros had told her many times that he had forgiven Marie, so she shouldn't worry about it. She should just remain calm, relax and wait here, in the middle of the plaza next to the fountain and the two idols for her date to arrive… Uhm, her guest! Yes, her guest, not date, the two of them weren't going on a d-date today…

“Hi Marie! Glad to see you~?” Hiros greeted, raising his hand in his usual manner and tried his best not to laugh at Marie's reaction, as she got almost startled to the moon and back.

"EEEEK!!!"

“I agree with you there. The city is quite something.” Hiros let out sarcastically as Marie regained her balance again after flailing with her arms out of shock. And while she might have regained her composure relatively fast, there was no denying that her head was still red as a tomato after being interrupted in the middle of her thoughts.

“So, you wanted me to visit the city with you today?” Hiros asked, patting Marie on the head trying to make her feel better, which only helped to make her blush even harder. Although it did assist with calming down afterwards. Marie’s best guess was that maybe it was just in a Kitsune’s nature to like headpats.

“Y-Yes! Exactly! I have even prepared a few things for us today, since I wanted today to be special.” Maire jumped up on her foxpaw-like legs and looked at Hiros with shining eyes, her tails wagging with excitement. She then turned around to look at the other two girls, who were already giggling behind her back. “Aria, Rui. He is here. May I introduce you: This is Hiros, a good friend of mine.”

“Hehe, nice to meet you Hiros.” Both of the girls answered in sync with a very pleasant voice. Though Hiros recognized quickly that those two were not exactly human, more so mermaids with their fishtail and all, but he really didn't mind. Everyone knew already that Hiros was a great fan of monster girls, he just hadn’t been expecting Marie to show up with friends.

“Oh, hello girls.” He said, shooting them a quick smile before looking back at Marie, who seemed to be even more nervous than she was before. Though she tried her best to hide that fact behind her own innocent smile.

“Yes… uhm… those two agreed to give you one of their shows today. And… and they are really good at singing!” Marie stumbled over her own words, but tried her best to continue her sentences the best she could. She knew how well she was organized, so why was she being this nervous the entire time…?

“Haha! Yeah, you could say that. After all, we are idols around here.” Rui added, clearly enjoying Marie’s embarrassment way too much, though Aria just shook her head at her partner's behavior and added. “We had a performance today anyway, but we moved it a bit to better line up with our good friends' scheduled date.”

“Wow, that is super nice of you. Thanks for organizing this, Marie” Hiros let out, bringing a big smile to the kitsune's face as well. Just that praise made her whole effort feel worth it, though it was over quite yet. Quite the opposite, the real show was just about to start as Rui winked at her and said out loud. “Well then, my honored guests~ Prepare to be amazed~”

And with that, the show had officially begun. Compared to their humble beginnings of having to use a pair of speakers to broadcast finished music, they now got a small band to help them out with the background music. The small band those two had created were not only all good friends to Marie by now, but also very good at playing the music Aria and Rui would sing too.

A bit into the first song, Marie could feel her heart beating faster. She had prepared a thing in advance in order to impress Hiros and soon came the perfect opportunity to present that to Hiros. Now all she needed to do was to wait for them to finish their first song…

As the applause of the audience died down and the band prepared their next number, Marie turned to face Hiros. She really wished she could control her tails better in moments like this, but now was not the time to think about trivial things like that. “Uhm… Hiros?”

“What’s up? Oh, those two really are amazing. The first song was already an ear catcher.” Hiros replied with a big smile, to which Marie briefly considered backing down, but decided to stand her ground and continued with what she wanted to say. “Yes, they are. Not surprising considering they have been descended from sirens, or so I have been told. Anyway, Hiros, did you know I was actually the one who designed their equipment? For a while now I have been a good friend, sponsor and fan of this little group~”

"That's amazing. But let me guess, you enchanted those instruments with a few of your blessings, am I wrong?” Hiros winked, making Marie blush a bit. Though he wasn't exactly wrong.

“Yes, but I didn’t do much. Only like a bit of a sound amplification, that is also able to carry the magic of their songs further than they would be otherwise able.” Marie elaborated, but had to smile considering how interested and appreciative Hiros looked at that moment. It looked like step one of her amazing date plan had been a total success…

Though that was the exact moment Marie noticed that not everything was as perfect as she had hoped. She had a certain feeling for a while now, but when she looked at the people around her it became abundantly clear that she had made a mistake.

The song amplified by her mic was carried out and over the audience was just a tad bit stronger than she had accounted for. And that included the siren’s magic carried by that music. Where normally a siren's magic would only be able to charm and maybe hypnotize the listeners, now the magic of the siren’s music was so strong that people in the audience actively began changing as they listened to the idols.

Neither Rui nor Aria would usually be able to muster enough magic to even affect a normal human being, but now  everyone in the audience started gaining merfolk traits, such as scales along their legs of many different colored shades because of them. Fins were also made present along with the gills needed to breathe underwater, causing many people to fall down on their butts as their legs fused together into a single but powerful fishtail.

Marie looked around and watched the suddenly changing audience members and in her panic tried to figure out what was going on, only to see more of the same amongst the crowd.

Oh no, did something go wrong? What did she mess up this time?! She wore a worried expression as more and more of the audience were altered by the magical song of the sirens and soon lost their legs in trade for fish tails covered in their respective scale colors.

Of course while this was happening there was a bit of pandemonium in the audience as next to no one was prepared for this outcome when they came to see the concert. Though among the crowd there were some who were enjoying their new looks but otherwise it was pretty chaotic.

Yet somehow, the chaos quickly seemed to turn into even bigger cheers as the song of Maries friends reached its climax. They should have stopped the song as soon as they saw panic breaking out in the entire crowd, but to be fair to them it may have just looked like the fans were cheering even harder for them than usual. Though why did they suddenly start cheering instead of panicking again…?

“W-What…?” Was all Marie could let out, as she took a moment to look at a single person next to her a bit closer. It was clear that that guy had already lost most of his hair across his body through his transformation into a merfolk, but it seemingly wasn’t done yet. Marie could literally watch as the guy’s body slimmed down and his face became rounder and softer, making him almost look… girly?

Oh no.

This of course caused her to fear that the guys in the audience had now started to change in gender on top of their bodies becoming inhuman, which only served to confirm her fears. All of the guys quickly started slimming down and becoming overall more feminine as they  developed further feminine traits.

Their eyelashes had become longer and slightly curled, their lips softer and a bit puffier, waists pinched inwards, and hips grew wider. Soon all the guys in the audience looked like girls with the only exception being the breasts, however that was also quick to change as when the first guy in the audience started growing a pair of his own. Before Marie knew it the audience may as well have been entirely women.

However that wasn’t the only major thing that had changed as when Marie observed the members of the audience who were already female, their changes went down the route of further enhancing their feminine traits. They seemed to grow more curvaceous and alluring, breasts that were modest became large and their lower bodies had rounded out in the same fashion.

Their faces seemed to even become more sultry and enticing as if groomed to attract those who would even so much as glance in their direction with how beautiful they appeared. As the song drew to a close it was clear to Marie that the entire audience had become mermaids (her excluded of course) and realizing this she turned her head towards Hiros worried she’d wound up getting him transformed again.

…however, despite everything that had just transpired, Hiros seemed fine. Literally everyone who listened to the siren's song had become a busty mermaid right in front of Maries eyes, aside from Hiros.

“W-Wha…? How did I…?” Marie stuttered, making Hiros turn to face her briefly, his expression clearly looking like he was enjoying himself. Yet there was no trace of him being even remotely affected by the siren's song, which just baffled Marie to no end.

She messed up. She made a mistake. So why didn’t she get punished for it?

After the fifth song the pair of siren descendents sang, they reached the end of their performance. They bowed to the audience of mermaids as far as the eye could see, making them cheer in their very fangirly voices. To Marie it was clear that Aria and Rui were popular, but it seemed like this little mishap on Maries account made them even more beloved.

“Thanks for coming to today's performance! You have been awesome as always and Aria and I hope to see you again on friday!” Rui announced, making the crowd in the middle of the plaza go wild again, which only died down slowly as the two performing mermaids and their band started to pack their instruments.

Marie and Hiros were pretty much the only people that were let through by Georg, the drummer who also doubled as a bouncer for the two rather fragile mermaids, to get close to the band as a general. And the two mermaids immediately looked like they wanted to jump and hug Marie on the spot.

“That was amazing! Your new mic really worked like magic!” Aria expressed, looking at her tool briefly before putting it away into her bag.

“I-It did…?”

“Obviously! Didn’t you see? I have never seen a crowd fired up like that!” Rui added, looking like she was reminiscing while hugging herself. “It was like our voices reached the hearts of so many people today even more than usual. For our final song, they even sang along with us!”

“Y-yes, but I might need to do a few more test runs with those mics. I think I saw a small malfunction during the performance.” Marie said, sweating heavily as she tried not to break the news to anyone that the entire audience had just been dehumanified by their amazing song.

“Oh, I didn’t notice anything.” Rui answered quickly.

“Huh, if that's the case then we better give them back for now.” Aria scratched her head briefly, before shooting a glance at Rui.

Both let out a brief sigh, but diligently returned both of the mics without protest. Marie was so internally happy that she didn’t have to explain the situation even further, especially since this mic seemed to have warped reality once again. But alas, that might be a good thing. After all, that way she didn’t need to explain to anyone what had just transpired.

“Thanks, you two. I promise I’ll return them even better and stronger than before (although hopefully less crowd changing).” The foxy mechanic smiled, causing the two mermaids to beam a smile back at her, before their friends and partners seemingly finished packing all of their stuff.

That's when Marie noticed a big shadow above all of them, making all look up to the sky. There was a big carriage carried by four harpies being transported to them from right above, which immediately prompted Rui to wave wildly. As the carriage landed, the biggest harpy, about one and a half times bigger than Marie, landed in front of all of them and tipped her hat.

“Hi Juni~ Thanks for picking us up~” Rui smiled, making the harpy nod.

“Excellent work you two. I heard today's performance had an even better album sellout rate than ever before.” Juni spoke, her voice being surprisingly deep. “ Now then, our boss is waiting for you. Let’s get you to the studio as quickly as possible.”

“You got it. Thanks for helping out again, Marie~” Rui chimed while Aria simply nodded with a smile, before the two other members of the band helped the girls into the flying carriage. And with one final wave, the harpy tipped her hat at Marie once again, before taking off, making the other four harpies take off with the carriage in their talons.

As the carriage slowly faded out of view, Marie turned to Hiros with a nervous but very much happy smile. “Shall we get going too?”

“Yeah, lets~” Hiros responded, taking Maries hand with his own and gesturing for her to lead the way. And after a brief moment of coping with the fact that Hiros had just taken her hand, she started to go, with Hiros right beside her.

“You know, it doesn't need to be today, but when I next visit you, I would love to fly in one of these Harpy carriages as well.” Hiros suddenly let out, catching Marie a bit off guard.

“Uhm… sure. I’ll make sure to remember that and organize something next time.” She replied, making him giggle as his hand wandered to the top of Maries head. And then he patted her in a way that made Marie want to drop everything and just cuddle him in the middle of the street. And if it weren’t for her pride, she maybe would even would have done it.

“Thank you.” Hiros said.

“You're welcome.” Marie purred.

It's time for Marie's big date. With her having prepared for that day for months, surely nothing will go wrong, right?

…right?
