Surprise! I'm on time with an episode this week. In fact, I did well enough I had time to do just a little bit of musical scoring. Not as much as I wanted, but a little bit. I am not a good musician so it takes me quite a while to make music. At one point, I intended to play "Here Comes Santa Claus" for a broad stretch of the podcast, but after hammering out the first little ditty it opens with, I thought to check if the song is still under copyright. Sure enough, like most of our American touchstones, somebody legally owns it and I'd have to pay up to use it! So we get that little ditty as a bit of a joke, and then it drops off, and that's the last of the music until the outro.

This arc is based on an impromptu game a friend ran for us, and I enjoyed the concept so much I wanted to make it into a podcast episode. It's another one that centers on a single player a lot, but it's all fairly fast paced with a lot of arguing between the Krampus and Paul. Elvis has Mayson and Lawry "in on it" for the supporting roles, so they've got their eyes and ears peeled to try to gently sabotage Paul in whatever ways seem in character enough to get away with.

I like this one already, and not just because of Hitler. I like the general idea of player characters sabotaging the protagonist and another plus for me is the general concept of someone being mistaken for someone else and then excelling at the task they're given because of that without taking it seriously. That's like the opposite of what Chrysalis did when she was Cadence except that Chryssi also didn't seem to take her task seriously.
