When I set this game up, I knew I wanted to do a musical thing, but also knew it'd take a lot of time and effort for something that would honestly not run for very long compared to the work going in. Still, in spite of slim working hours due to the obstacles of child care, I went for it!

The final song got trimmed down to about half its run length. Originally I wanted to have both Lawry and Elvis sing their own verses but be really unhelpful if not downright self-indicting, which would help highlight Mayson's later frustration with them, but I decided it needed to be cut down to prevent the episode from being any later than it already is.

Regardless, doing musical interludes is fun, and it's been a while since I've done one. They made more sense for the animation projects since animation is already very lengthy and a few extra days of writing is not much compared to the overall investment. I've bounced back and forth about adding more musical work to the podcast in general, but it would slow them down, and for things like this especially, it does stretch the credulity of the premise being that everything is an improvisational game.

Honestly, go ahead and make more music! This IS a setting about rock bands, so just talking about them singing makes this part of the setting kinda pointless. This campaign can not end until there's been a Battle Of The Bands! Also I want a cameo of Sinking Ships, because it fits the setting well. Maybe even play Working my Twerking in the background (minus the pony stuff) while you-know-who unsuccessfully flirts with yet another woman.

Yet to watch part 7, but loving that musical moment in here. Seconding the idea of older tunes making it into this work -- Oh, Baby x3, Sinking Ships, or Working on my Twerking -- could work really well.
