So it's the last day of January! Barely got this up in time, but we've got a lot to do in the new year. Figuring out taxes for one, but also starting on new projects!

If you haven't noticed, I've done a few steams where I've been building new rigs and working on a new animation series. It's taken some time, but we're starting in on this monkey thing again! We're doing short episodes, about a minute or so long per cartoon. How frequently they'll be completed I'm not sure. Right now it's somewhat slow going, but as I get used to drawing hands and horrible monkey feet, I hope the work pace will increase a lot.

We've also started a revival of Alphabet Parade, which Copy will be working on while I struggle to draw the human/monkey form. The original idea behind Alphabet Parade was for everyone to realize episode "A" was a terrible idea, but have it all spiral out of control when the network realizes controversy is selling this old kids' show. New episodes of Alphabet Parade will also be one or two minutes so that production doesn't take an age and a half.

And finally, we've got the third NAS in the wings. Sadly a bit neglected this month what with two other projects needing all their rigs built. It's full time work getting new projects off the ground, but we'll get back on top of Twilight hiring her friends into government and letting them be in charge of teaching the world how to live!

Some of you have heard about Youtube changing their monetization policy and were a bit concerned about the channel, and I can assure you now, I won't be losing monetization I had. The gaming channel was never monetized in the first place! It appears not to be eligible now, but honestly it's not a big deal because Youtube accounts for less than 10% of my income at this point. Ad revenue drops every year due to a number of factors outside of my control, and this year was absolutely no exception given all the press notice of what has become endemic to the platform.

So going forward, for us, Youtube has become barely a factor. They don't provide promotion, subscription notifications, much of any income, user support, or really anything outside their convenient embedding feature and free hosting. Newgrounds, meanwhile, provided a front page feature to the last Jaycartoon! It pulled four thousand views there, which may not sound like much, but that's nearly half of the Youtube view numbers so it definitely organically introduced Jaycartoons to more new humans than Youtube did. The biggest question now is how do we grow? How do we draw in new people? It's an answer I haven't exactly figured out yet, at least not at a large scale, but it's a main thing to be thinking about, and it feels reassuring to know that there is a hosting site where I can surface to the top and get some new eyeballs!

So here's hope for the new projects! We've got Goldvision back as Buddy, and I'm happy to be working with him again. Rae and Peyton have been pretty dang fleshed out. And I'm not sure yet, but I'm thinking about doing something even more transformative with the let's plays. Updates on that when the time comes!

This is all great to hear! I'm excited to to see your work going forward, and I'd to give special mention for the alphabet's cartoon.
