Your questions about Robin, the principal, kind of reminded me of the conversation between Buffy and Xander in episode 1. Xander had the plans for both the old Sunnydale High and the new one. When he pointed out where the principal's office was, one of them thought that either the principal was evil or would be affected by the Hellmouth. I believe Buffy's term was 'a bidet of evil."

The title Never Leave Me could be in reference to a line in the song that fake Spike was singing. If you listen, you will hear that exact line just before she reenters Spike's room.

Since Buffy episode titles tend to have multiple meanings, I always thought that in addition to the song lyrics, Never Leave Me also refered to Buffy never leaving/never giving up on Spike. It could also refer to the special connection Xander and Anya still seem to share.
