People who get down on you for being pissed at Spike and not at other characters that have commited rape in the show are obviously being a**holes and totally ignoring how the whole framing of a scene can impact the viewer in a totally different way. The way Spike assaults Buffy is extremely violent and can evoke past trauma or fears that every woman has considering the world we live in. The other rape scenes in the show are all mystical and you sometimes have to stop and think about it to realize that's what they are. So yeah, I support you Domi, you're totally entitled to your opinion and feelings 💗💗

Spike is a demon so that would still fall under mystical. And having an opposing view doens't mean they are pissed at her either. And ofc she's allowed her own opinion, nobody here would say otherwise. There is just the fact that Spike is a demon and soulless and evil. Which has been shown many times over obviously. It's not like that 1 action made him a bad guy. He already was.

Season 5 is my favorite season by miles. Season 6 overal def ranks lower but it does have some of my favorite episodes and scenes. The (first?) big bad (trio) has so many ups and downs and in the beginning feels very meh. It does have some great Tara/Willow scenes, Spike/Buffy and Dawn scenes. And the ending was such a shock and super interesting. And the only ending I think that doesn't end with Buffy/team?
