To say I'm excited for Season 2 after that ending would truly be an understatement... TOOK 400 DAYS BUT SHE'S BACK AND I AM SOOOO READDDYYY FOR THIS!!!!

And since today is the 31st I would like to take a minute to say HAPPY NEW YEAR ♥♥♥ I am so appreciative of every single one of you for joining me in this super amazing journey, and for always being so kind to me! These last two years have been hard for everybody, so I hope all of you have a wonderful 2022. May all your wishes come true, and may all of our 2022s be filled with awesome vampire slayers and nostalgic vampires.

It seems so fitting to be finishing up Buffy S4/Angel S1 exactly in the new year, because it's like the end of a journey! I'm so excited for next year and to see what these awesome shows will be up to. See ya in 2022!

interesting how you took the whole Cordy growth thing this ep. i personally loved it, it made so much sense. we'll see if she changes drastically or not.😉

To me the appearance of David Nabbit does things 1) leaves the possibility open for him to show up if the writer's decide to use him again, 2) sets us up for the scene switch using the "have you seen any cool monsters" gag, 3) reinforces the saving people for its own sake theme which, aside from being a basic core concept of the show, ends up being particularly relevant in this episode, 4) it's for funsies lol It has that deadpan, campy, self awareness that is a hallmark of these writers and this show in particular, and sometimes you just need a little silliness to fill a few extra minutes of airtime. If anyone is familiar with the "I'm a lion" gag from Firefly it's not dissimilar. Instead of an honest misunderstanding of speech its an honest misunderstanding of their relationship by David that ends up being resolved by everyone just kinda shrugging their shoulders and going back to the crisis at hand. For those of that enjoy that kind of humour it's fun and chuckle-worthy, for a lot of others I suspect the whole scene just falls a little flat and I get that.
