Amy Acker Chat (Patreon)

Because I know many of you watch and love Angel, and because I think y’all know Amy Acker is the reason I got into the Buffyverse I wanted to say I talked to her today and it was so awesome!! She’s honestly the sweetest person ever (If you haven’t seen Angel don’t read this post because SPOILERS!!). I got to ask her about Fred’s Texan accent and if it was her own accent and why it was dropped halfway through the show and she said it was mostly her accent and it did fade as she got to LA. She told me about how emotional it was to film both Wes and Fred’s deaths and how she was way more emotional at Wes’ scene than she should be because other than the alley scene it was the last scene she filmed and she was emotional over everything. AAAND I didn’t ask this specifically (I swear it wasn’t me!!) but someone asked about the Fred/Willow dynamic and how Fred clearly had a crush on Willow when they met (HA I KNEW IT!!) and Amy said she was playing Fred that way giving major heart eyes. She spoke of how she’s still friends with Alyson/Alexis and how they were supposed to have a social distancing gathering during quarantine.
