We met that doctor (played by Ron Glass, RIP) in the pilot episode. He spoke to Maria Hill about Coulson's recovery, and it was our first hint at that mystery in the show. But it's totally understandable you wouldn't remember that one small scene. 😅 MCU connections: - The way Po died is using a device Obadiah Stane used in the first Iron Man. - A very quick cut of the scene from The Avengers (2012) where Coulson dies is used during the flashbacks Coulson experienced whilst in the memory machine. - More mentions of the cellist that Coulson was dating. I really like this episode! As you mentioned, it truly shows the team working together extremely well, and highlights just how far they've come from the start of the show. Coulson begging to die gets me every time, very well acted by Clark Gregg there. Please don't feel pressured to reply to every message! 😅

Since we know Hydra is basically part of Shield, for a few moments during Colson's second half interrogation I thought maybe the Clairvoyant could be a code name for the Zola Algorithm. As it's main focus is predicting human behavor. But than I thought Zola has more grander plans that are far better than trying and make super solders. AKA using Shield to take over the world.

How do you know it's not? At the time, no one knew about Winter Soldier. I think we should be treating KL just a first time view with only knowledge available at the time of the episode. At that point, Winter Soldier was months away from being in theaters. No one at all would have thought or did think of Zola. You can verify this by reading the Reddit thread for the original episode broadcast. For you so say what you think the Clairvoyant is or may be at this point by using knowledge from the "future" could be considered spoilery. The saving grace being the KL has seen Winter Soldier.
