I don’t think Howard was being malicious, but he also was doing everything Kim described. Even if you aren’t doing something intentionally there could always be unintended consequences. Jimmy blowing the interview that way shows how he feels about himself at this point. Chuck called him out on that behavior and when people fall for his routine it ticks him off to say the least. Nacho is such a tragic figure. He hasn’t even made any big moves for money or even his own well being since the first half of season 2. Then he just wanted to keep his head down. Since then he’s been trying to keep his father safe and he’s been trying to find a way out. Not possible now.
