Okay first, PATREON FINALLY HAS DARK MODE ON THE WEB! It was such a big pet peeve for me that the mobile app had it, but the website didn't. I'm SO DANG HAPPY NOW. 😁

And second, here's my watchalong for Mad Max: Fury Road! Thanks again to Keanu for picking this for their Member of the Month win! I have this set on the calendar for the channel in January. If you usually skip past the intro, don't do that in this one because I explain what I already know about this film before pressing play, as I do/did know some things!

Great reaction! I'm glad you enjoyed it. My favorite thing about this film is the way that Max & Furiosa communicate. It feels like they're capable of saying far more to each other with their eyes and expressions than they do with their actual spoken dialogue. None of it feels forced. Their initial tension & hostility evolves into trust and companionship between two survivors simply seeking their own idea of redemption.

 Apparently this translated so well because during early stages of production there was genuine animosity between Charlize Theron & Tom Hardy. They had to overcome that and slowly learn to trust each other on set; thus making this entire film a prime example of life imitating art. All that being said, here’s a fun fact for you. Max and Furiosa may not have been a romantic couple. However, Charlize Theron & Tom Hardy’s stunt doubles ended up falling in love in real life during the filming of this movie. They’re married now and have a child together. Anyways, thanks for the great reaction! I'm really looking forward to seeing the community discuss this one.

That's so cool! Reminds me of Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey in Dirty Dancing, they didn't like each other either. 😂 The stunt doubles getting together is ADORABLE. Love that for them! Thanks so much for watching and for picking this!
