Oh my GOD, I just realized I accidentally locked this behind my higher tiers. I'm SO sorry folks! This is now fixed, as you'll see this post now. 😭

This was my first Kevin Smith movie. I was a comic book nerd, in college. Back in 1995 I felt this was made just for me. I believe this movie premiered at San Diego Comic Con and the studio thought they had a huge hit on their hands, instead it was a box office dud because it really only works for a very specific audience. At least that has been the consensus. I love this movie, part nostalgia, part relatability. Now that you’ve got some MCU time under your belt, I’m looking forward to seeing how this plays for you.

Sweeeeeeeeeet...I love Kevin Smith. This movie's a little stupid--I'm not gonna lie. But I love it. If you ever have some free time to waste (ha!) you should try to find the edited for television version of this movie. The dubs they put in for some of the dialogue are real gems: "All he needed was a fat chronic blunt!" becomes "All he need was a fast karate punch!" Fucking gold.

As a big Kevin Smith fan, I'm really excited for you to experience the View Askewiverse. Especially Dogma. Dont know if you noticed or if anyone else has pointed it out, the girl who died in the pool they were mentioning throughout the movie, is the same girl whose wake Dante and Randal go to in Clerks. In the timeline, Mallrats takes place the day before Clerks I believe.

I was gonna say 😅 but I thought maybe it was just me that couldn't find the full-length reaction because as far as I could tell no one had said anything 😂 In any case, I think Mallrats is my second favorite Kevin Smith movie. I won't say what my first is cause you haven't seen it yet. I'm glad you liked Mallrats though. I totally love the epic Stan Lee cameo though. I think this was the first cameo of his in a movie was in theaters.

I know, so sorry! Nobody mentioned it to me. I was logged in with my other account and decided to look at my feed and I noticed Mallrats was locked behind the wrong tiers.
