Thanks for improving a rather dull Thursday, my dear.

Episode 1-3 was a interesting start to the Show. To see Sam struggle after coming back from the blip and Bucky fighting his inner demons after all he had done was very intruiging and gave both actors possibilities to explore their characters. Great potential to dive deeper into their Motivations, their struggles, their development/growth, their fears and hopes. How they could move on from what happened not only in Endgame but while they were blipped. Sams struggle with the expectations being the new Captain America, to find a way to grow closer with his Family and being a part of them after all the time. The same goes for Bucky. His interaction with Yori opened up so many possibilties to dive deeper into Bucky´s feelings and his strive for becoming a better person and overcome his feeling of guilt. Real Character growth for both of them and giving the audience something to think about. A look behind the all-shiny Curtain of being a Superhero. A positive Message that we all can do better and we should never give up no matter the odds. I spare the rest for the ending. Take care everyone and be the best you can, every day.

Yesss my favorite Phase 4 show! I could rewatch this show a million times lol Sam is one of my favorite characters in the MCU and I'm so glad this show gives us the space to unpack who he his, his family etc, and explore more of his dynamic with Bucky and actually allow us to sit and experience Bucky's struggle and healing process a bit. You are also NOT alone on the Sam and Bucky shipping agenda, they are two very handsome men with a hilarious dynamic, it's all in good fun lol But honestly Sam and Bucky are probably my favorite duo in the MCU. Wyatt Russell really does a great job as John Walker because he manages to make me feel bad for his character, but also really really dislike him at the same time. Fun fact: Zemo's mask here in the show is a call back to his characters mask in the comics which some fans were disappointed to see he didn't wear in his introduction in Civil War. I was never a comic reader but I like a lot of the characters designs from the comics and one of my favorite things about Phase 4 is how they seemingly have been incorporating a lot more comic accurate references or designs for the characters. Can't wait for the final 3 episodes!

John Walker is an interesting character. I don't think when he said "Do you know who I am?!" he meant it as like him as a person. I think he meant it more as the legacy of Cap and what that shield represents, so spitting in the face of that image would be very insulting to someone like him. Which makes sense. He says that he never met Steve but looked up to him. He's got one of the most difficult jobs on the planet because, as you said, there's so many expectations and thoughts put on him before he ever says or does anything whatsoever, and he's just a guy trying to do his best to live up to that role. He's a very accomplished and decorated soldier who does seem to earnestly want to help people and is willing to lay down his life if need be. I remember feeling for him because it feels like he's been thrown into a pressure cooker.
