Hi everyone! My Breaking Bad journey continues this week. I enjoyed the bit of break that I had to focus on some other reactions, as well as take some time to re-evaluate and make some adjustments (peep the recent newsletter for more info).

Y'all know by now that I love Jesse so much, so this movie was a much needed thing for me!

Enjoy, thanks for watching, and I look forward to your comments!

This was an idea they were kicking around while they were writing the last season. It just didn’t fit because it was about Walt and the finale capped it off. Kept it in the back pocket though. It was also one of the last roles for Robert Forster, he died before it came out. And on a personal level, I think doughy Jesse Plemons is his ultimate form. He lost weight again recently and I was a bit bummed out. Selfish of me I know.

I'm glad they dedicated a movie to it. Means they could take their time a bit more!

So many call backs to the show. Todd keeping the tarantula from the boy he killed Todd having a snow globe made out to remember Lydia Jesse knocking over the mailbox reading 212 after S2E12, the episode Jane dies Jesse saying pineapple contains Bromine which the chemical symbol is the “Br” we see in the Breaking Bad title Todd using a belt to choke out the housekeeper, foreshadowing his death at the hands of Jesse Neil acts with Casey the same way Tuco used to with his crew, especially after having done drugs

Absolutely loved this, man. That last few mins with Jane got my really chocked up, couldn’t have asked for a better ending to Jessie’s story. Godspeed Jessie ❤️
