FML I scheduled this post to go out a few hours ago... or at least I thought I had. It was accidentally set to post tomorrow. I'M SO SORRY!

In classic star wars fashion, they take some throwaway thing and bring it back in some different show or movie. In Empire Strikes Back, Vader is talking to Boba Fett and says "no disintegrations". Now we get to see the disintegrations he was referring to, in the hands of another mandalorian of course. We also get to see the common theme of Mandalorian "negotiating". We've seen it with Sabine, Bo Katan, etc. in Clone Wars and Rebels. They're not the best negotiators and it's nice to see that theme continued. Regarding the realism and different feel, I think a lot of it comes from both the focus on practical effects and the Western style they used. Obviously practical effects are going to be more real and engaging, but paired with the full on western style that they shot it in gives it an extra level of realness.

The creature guarding the egg reminds me of the creature that Anakin rides/tames in Attack of the Clones in the Geonosis arena.
