Hi everyone! So stoked to bring you my reaction to Clue, which was the winner of the January 2023 Member of the Month poll that the winner (Dylan) elected to put up for you all instead of picking a specific movie. The February draw will occur THIS Friday, so stay tuned! Thank you to everyone who voted on this movie!

Thanks for being awesome possum.

I have only just started the video, but when the movie was released in theaters, they marked the showtimes with A, B, and C and you had to go to see the movie three times in order to see all of the endings. It killed the box office because people didn't want to choose -- what if the ending they saw wasn't good? It's too bad they didn't think then to present the film as it is now, with all three endings one after the other, because it's brilliant. Also, I won't include a link here (I'll put it in Discord), but while there is no making-of documentary for this movie on the Blu-ray or DVD, there is a *fantastic* oral history written for BuzzFeed that I have to reread almost every time I watch the movie.

When I was a kid, I saw CLUE on consecutive days with one parent each day. Ending A was what’s now the “real” ending. Ending B was the Scarlet ending. I didn’t see the Peacock ending until VHS. CLUE is a strong contender for the movie I’ve seen most in my life. I don’t know how many exactly; dozens. It’s a special movie for me. CLUE made me a Tim Curry fan for life but, over the years, I’ve come to appreciate everyone’s performance, Michael McKean especially.

That was a lot of fun again - this is my third or fourth full watch along to this in the last year. I hadn’t watched it in years prior to that. I just love the performances and daft jokes in this movie. I’m not sure why, but, regardless of the genre, movies that take place at a single location will always be a bit more special to me. Sometimes it adds extra tension for me as a viewer, other times a cozy feeling or perhaps claustrophobia. It’s just something I noticed about myself some years ago, but I’m a bit weird so, anywho. Wadsworth is probably my favourite, with Mrs White and Miss Scarlet a close second, and I’m not gonna lie, Yvette as a rather pleasant distraction will always be a firm favourite of mine.

For some reason the Patreon app won’t let me edit my comment so I’ll just add this here instead. A simple thank you. That’s all.

Just finished. Fun watch-along. My first with Kaiielle. Originally, Miss Scarlet wasn’t going to be Lesley Ann Warren (or Susan Sarandon, for that matter). Carrie Fisher was originally cast but entered rehab almost immediately thereafter. Though she wanted to continue, and producer Debra Hill seemed fine with it, according to director Jonathan Lynn, the insurance company wouldn’t insure Fisher and she had to be recast. Warren had only a week or so to rehearse before they started shooting. By the way, Lynn also directed MY COUSIN VINNY, one of the best comedies of the 90s, and maybe of all time. Call that an official suggestion. 😉

Thanks for watching Jason! Now I'm trying to imagine Carrie in that role. 😊
