Hey everyone, Rich here. Before the blurb commences, a quick shout out to the team who've delivered some incredible stuff this week - and particular praise to Oliver who took on the massive task of delivering two Directs with a total of 177 minutes of #content after delivering that remarkable Baldur's Gate 3 review.

And I'd like to thank you as well. That bit at the end of this week's Direct about commercial 'integrations' as they're being called? Yeah, it's all true. We are being approached for inserts in our content but we point blank refuse to stick 60 to 90 second nonsense into the video right after the intro. It's your support that means we don't need to go down this route, even though YouTube revenue is down noticeably year on year.

As for this week's main Direct, it's a packed week of news as John, Oliver and myself discuss the shock Switch 2 tech demo leaks - what should we expect from the system in the wake of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Matrix Awakens leaks? Meanwhile, John's excited about Daytona 2's upcoming arrival via emulation, while Oliver shares initial impressions on the new Star Wars Jedi: Survivor patch that improves the 60fps performance mode. I share RX 7800 XT impressions, while it quickly emerges that corrective lenses are the unsung heroes of the whole Digital Foundry enterprise.

And at this point, let's not forget that if you're new to the DF Supporter Program and want early podcast access to DF Direct Weekly, please ignore any Patreon links elsewhere and head over here for your exclusive feed: https://open.acast.com/public/patreon/fanSubscribe/593963

Enjoyed the double dip on the Switch 2 reports, I feel 100% informed. :-) Excellent Direct.

Greetings! New subscriber here. The stuff at the end of this week's Direct about sponsored ads was what pushed me off the fence into subscribing (I was only on the fence previously because I'm not the biggest fan of the Patreon platform, not because I don't value your output). Thanks!
