Sup! There comes a point in the week where a certain kind of dread descends, where we realise that we need to put together a one to two hour discussion show and we've got nothing planned. Absolutely nothing. Well, truth is, this week, we're not short of discussion points. 

So, we're going to do two Directs. The call for questions for the standard show will go out tomorrow. Today, I'm asking for your questions specifically about Starfield. We should have a couple of pieces of content done by the end of the week, but there's still more to discuss, including early PC impressions. Full PC coverage will be following next week, by the way, but to make things fun for this Direct, I'll be playing the game on the AMD 4800S desktop kit, paired with the RX 6700 non-XT. YES: Xbox CPU meets PS5-equivalent GPU. You know you want to see it.

Lots to discuss but we're eager for your questions and yeah, we'll also clarify some of the comments surrounding mention of Digital Foundry in Eurogamer's review code blog which have, perhaps predictably, been misinterpreted. Mostly though, we're looking to share more about Starfield and it should be fun!

Correct if I'm wrong, but doesn't Starfield implement a real-time global illumination system? If so, how does it compare to Lumen in UE? Does it simulate infinite bounces? Moving on from dynamic lighting, how dynamic is the AI? Has any AI behavior impressed you so far?

Did you know that the first PC game not made by Epic that uses both Lumen and Nanite is an obscure VR title from a Polish indie dev (and their debut, to boot). It's called The Riese Project - Prologue and brings 4090 to it's knees. The lowest graphic preset is endearingly called "potato".

After seeing the latest version of their Engine in Starfield, what do you think are the biggest areas of improvement (or personal choice of features) you would like to see Bethesda address before their next game?

Can you ask Bethesda why they didn't implement DLSS Frame Generation and if they plan on doing it after release?

There's a lot of toxicity on social medias around Starfield's release. I even read some threats against journalist and reviewers. Do you handle it well?
