Fantastic as always. John you should do a deep dive for retro into the Saturn hardware and development for it then contrast it vs the Dreamcast

The switch is pretty great as it is. I just got a OLED switch today and I'm Impressed, also I dont think optimising games is hard, just watch Digital Foundry or for german viewers Sambzockt and you will learn so much about optimizing games in such a short time. I will definitely try getting Fortnite with UE5 running on a switch. I'll keep you posted for that.

A very timely primary topic. I love my OLED model switch, but that feels like what the OG model should have been in the first place. Assuming they don’t axe backwards compatibility, not really sure why anyone wouldn’t be in favor of a successor (sooner, rather than later). But some gamers/fans seem almost threatened by a Switch 2. I think Rich is right though, we need to be realistic about the console’s capabilities. It most likely will be less powerful than the steam deck’s 88GB/s of bandwidth paired with 1.6 TF GPU.

I'm all for rechargeable AA batteries and that's what I use in my Xbox. They don't cost much more than regular batteries and I've been using mine for years now.

i have a hard time beating bayonetta 3 on switch just because of how it runs. rather play my steam deck in bed these days

Alex’s genuine befuddlement at Just Dance 2020 releasing on the original Wii was pretty great 😂
