For half a second there I thought Alex was giving the middle finger in that thumbnail.

Snorlax jobless

This is the best preview picture in DF history, middle finger and a tittle “TOO BIG FOR PC”.

There's no link for the compilation stutter butler website. Please fix.

Thanks for doing this, Alex. It's sad that the state of PC ports has seemingly been sliding backwards lately (not across the board, of course). I thought the era of mid-2000s poor PC ports was gone, but here we are. Hopefully developers will start to pay attention to more of these things! Even if they don't implement them all, every single one of these improvements would make a difference.

I’ve always thought it would be cool if a game could run an optional benchmark that can auto-tune the game based on the detected hardware. The results could be a recommended followed by a few options like 30fps vs 60fps vs 144fps and 1080p vs 1440 vs 4K and copies of those with upscaling as options and if easily presentable something like RT on/off options. I like to tune my games, but I know some people I’ve helped with their computers and they struggle with getting decent performance because they don’t understand the settings.

After watching this video on YT, I decided to finally support you guys on here. My DF habit has finally gotten to the point where it would be wrong not to pay for it. Thanks for all the amazing content!

I agree on all points! One thing that sticks out is console settings equivalent for PC. As GPU pricing and value drops and inflation hits, people will start keeping their hardware longer. We will be pushing settings less as our machines age. Having console settings for games will really help to at least get a nice experience in games. That's why your optimization videos are so valuable.
