Btw, know that it is just old capture to prove a point regarding showing issues when looking at these kind of technologies, but Hitman 3's DLSS integration has in the mean while been updated to DLSS 2.4.3.0. So, probably that original issue was already fixed, have not RTX-card, so cannot test myself.

Excellent video Alex

I hear yah but I'd wait... RDNA3 is motivating nVidia for a reason. Not counting DLSS3 they wouldn't normally have this much performance improvement. Word is AMD is going to be right up there and FSR3 will be as at least as good as DLSS2. Also for less money, less power use and better overclocking.

That's normal though and you can usually just put a different games DLSS dll in the directory and solve the issue. Doesn't even have to be as new a version. I did that with hitman 3 and it worked fine with the F1 2021 DLSS file. Same frame rate. Haven't tried the revision you listed but I will.

What I meant; seemed more like an implementation issue and I thought that maybe when they updated DLSS, they also fixed this implementation bug.

Fantastic video, really like that you have discovered a new way to assess this new tech. While the impact of increased latency might be subjective I would think that how noticeable it is may be proportionate to the % change… but I don’t know what the thresholds would be…

Very grateful for the exhaustive detailing of methodology, it’s such a critical differentiator in this kind of coverage, and very firmly establishes your editorial credibility. …on a different note, the Erratic Mouse Disocclusion test is…very difficult to watch, as someone with chronic motion sickness. I have no idea how to solve that, I just wanted to let you know as it’s probably not a problem for “normal” folks! It definitely seems like a good stress test for temporal reconstruction though, even if it’s something I would never perceive myself due to hurling in th’ terlet 😋

Sorry to double-post, but upon finishing the video I just wanna say this is EXACTLY the type of content I love to see. I have NO idea what kind of numbers this will do in the broader world, but as a patron this is 1000000% For Me. …also, what about the Fast vsync in the control panel? It alleges to discard frames above your screen’s refresh rate, and I’ve been forcing it on for everything since getting a Gsync monitor

It's it possible to produce a video of *only* the generated frames when considering image quality? Doing so might be a better way of analyzing the artifacting that is similar to the persistence errors of DLSS2.
