Hi everyone, Rich here with your scheduled weekly update on what's happening in the world of Digital Foundry... which right now is not a lot as it is a public holiday in the UK. However, despite no #content meeting this morning, I do have some awareness of the tasks that the team is working on, so while it'll be a little shorter than usual, this is the general gist.

* Will is starting the preparation work for the next generation GPU reviews. We are expecting Arc at some point soon and it seems that RTX 3060 class hardware is where that is pitched - so it's a case of revamping the benchmark suite from the ground up and getting the competitive data done before the new hardware arrives.

* Rich (ie me) starts at the higher end. With the new benchmarking suite sorted, we can be reasonably sure that RTX 4090 will be released relatively soon and so therefore we need to benchmark the higher-end GPUs, and that starts with the RTX 3090 Ti pictured above.

* Oliver is at the ready to give you the full lowdown on Deathloop which debuts on Xbox Series consoles this week.

* Tom spent the weekend looking at the Modern Warfare 2 beta on PlayStation consoles and will be prioritising that, before returning to finish off the Tomorrow Children video. Assuming nothing else crops up, Steam Deck SD cards will be back on the radar!

* John starts work proper on the Final Fantasy 13 DF Retro episode this week! He's also slated to work on the Ark update for Nintendo Switch whenever that emerges.

* Alex is spending some time behind the scenes this week looking at new image quality analysis techniques.

That's about it - a shorter update this week but if more details emerge, I'll let you know. Anything you'd like to see?

Excited to see FF13 on DF retro. It’s funny to think 2 Final Fantasy games ago is considered retro at this point. Square sure takes their time these days.

Would love to see if Oliver can cover input lag on DeathLoop. The PS5 version feels extremely unresponsive and clumsy, and I would be curious to see if that's improved any in this version/update.

Would you be interested in covering the Judgment collection that was just recently released on PC? I.e. review the PC port in comparison to the PS5 version.

Hmm… I never had any input lag problems in PS5 version of the game.

what problems can someone expect if building a brand new pc with the new 7950x + rtx 4090 + corsairs ddr5 64gb cl36? not a typical early adopter but im in serious need of an upgrade! will pcie 5 allow for faster load times like xbox's ssd to apu architecture?

I loved your preview trailer for your 40XX GPU analysis

Watershed

recommended psu for 4090 with full pcie5 and atx 3.0 support?

Silly question but is you console connected to the same monitor that your PC was? If you use TV make sure it is in game mode as well. But beyond that, Console+TV+wireless controller is undoubtedly higher latency than PC+mouse+monitor.

Everything's set up right. I think it might just be the weird acceleration setup they have for the controls that you can't turn off. It just feels weird to me.
